Yeah Spiritbox is second in my list just right after Jinjer,, the guys from Jinjer really respect and admire Spiritbox, cause Courtney Laplante was their inspiration when she was in her earlier band Iwrestledabearonce.. Please continue the ride with these bands cause they just don’t have a bad song. If you are interested in checking some other awesome ladies in Metal check out VINTERSEA from Portland, their song Illuminated is awesome as good as Jinjer’s or Spiritbox. VINTERSEA opened the gig for Jinjer when they play in Portland last year. Rock on!

I think you will find many Jinjer fans like Spiritbox. Courtney is almost at Tatiana's level. She is very talented!

So true. Spiritbox is like the artsy-fartsy horror version in metalcore, for what Jinjer is in modern genre transcending progressive metal.

They're both very different singers and performers. Not really fair to compare them. The screams, singing all different styles. Neither will match each other's levels because they're so different. The only similarity is that they have a singing and screaming voice that they easily switch to back and forth.

Your reaction was fun haha! I enjoyed that. Spiritbox is a band you shouldn't miss on! They deliver next level stuff. Their style is so special and unique, but they are still able to deliver a big variety within their style. Courtney's voice is so damn beautiful. Mike's guitar riffs (also Courtney's husband) can be damn technical, groovy and catchy, he can do it all. You won't regret checking out more stuff from Spiritbox! I think you would like their song called "Perennial". And definitely "The Mara Effect Pt. 1" (The Mara Effect is a trilogy of songs and all three are awesome) aswell! If you want it a bit heavier than Blessed Be, check out their song "Rule of Nines"! Their live performance videos on their channel are a must! :)

They like horror or at least creepy imagery in their videos. The Handmaids Tale references were intentional. I view the theme here as being "relationships are hard," and that both the chain (which is in every scene where she is walking as well as the bath tubs, including the end on the porch - also note that the guy is looking out the glass behind her at the end) and the violence are a not so much literally happening but a metaphorical representation of her feelings - feeling trapped and frustrated, because relationships are hard haha. I especially like the scene where she's saying "the only person that I love" over the guy's eviscerated body on the bed. The only thing that would make this song better imo would be if the guy in the video was their guitarist Mike who is Courtney's husband. I'd recommend the Rule Of Nines one-take next. Cheers!

I'm not sure of the complete story of this song, but I know it has to do with Anti-depression meds and being bound (chained) to your home. "Chemicals" in the song refers to medication, then at the end, she finally "breaks the chains" and walks outside. It's deep and an amazing song!

Well, I have another recommendation for an artist / a band you probably never heard of and is definitely worth a listen to. Rage of Light They are flying below the radar of most reaction channels, so it would be something that has not been worn out so much by reactors like JInjer or Nightwish. Something relatively fresh to the reacting scene and they (and especially the singer Melissa Bonny) deserve some more attention. The describe themselves as "Trance Metal / Melodic Death Metal from Switzerland". For the start the official version of the song 'Mechanicals' would do great, 'I can, I will' is also a good introduction. Give it a try, I guess Melissa is another possible candidate for an Ari girlcrush (just to continue the running gag) ;) .
