I think we have to think of ourselves first as much loved sons and daughters of God before we think of ourselves as followers and leaders.

There is something about him that's reminiscent of Rob Bell. I think it's the way he talks, engaging and deep.

GLAD THEY DIDN'T!! ALL scripture is profitable for... It's all one needs. Oh man warning lights going off all throughout the place...
@jorohatch110 ай бұрын
So glad you said that about warning lights going off, I agree. Something is not right here, all we need is the Bible. Be careful, ask Holy Spirit for discernment.

@@lindadodd3829 Good morning. I wanted to ask a question. I know the verse you reference, which is 2 Timothy 3:16. However, I also know that the bible teaches us that the purpose of pastors and teachers is to equip the body. (Ephesians 4:11-12) So if teachers and pastors equip us with their teachings of scripture, then what is the difference between listening to a sermon(teaching) and reading a book from a pastor (also teaching)? And there is another verse in scripture that teaches us that we overcome the enemy by the testimony of other believers (Revelation 12:11). So is it as sin for a believer to write down their testimony (what God has taught them or a trial He has brought them through) and then make that available to other believers in book form? It seems to me that both these practices of teaching and testimonies in written form are biblical? Can you please show me how these practices are not biblical? Also, I have copied and pasted the verses I referenced below: Ephesians 4:11-12: And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, Revelations 12:11: And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

Is burnout a problem...or is a lackadaisical attitude more prominent?

The 7th day is the last day not the first.

He might have spoken carelessly there. Surely he knows that the sabbath is the 7th day. I think his intended point is that we start our week coming off of rest, as a gift.
@SamuelCBuhler11 ай бұрын
Man was made on the 6th day. The first day following the creation of man was the Sabbath or 7th day. So man starts His life with Sabbath followed by work.
