I am just over halfway through this book and trying to process how I balance this, I own a national mental health company, hundreds of staff and contractors, spend time with God every morning, pray with staff before work, but constantly working.

He will probably speak to you, and guide you when you listen. It just came to my mind that Moses was advised by his father-in-law to delegate and make more leaders. Maybe ask God if you need to let go of your baby and believe in other leaders who might do exactly as you would have done. And you will need to trust god that your ”baby” will survive and grow by the grace of God. Maybe God even wants to remove you and lead you into a new season, into another dream you have in your heart. I hope this does not come as presumptuous. Feel free to throw this in the garbage bag if it doesn't resonate in your heart. Anyway, God bless you in your walk with the Lord.

Thank you John for carrying the torch of Dallas Williard. I am from Massachusetts and caught Dallas Williard’s name from this talk and have been following him and you. I belong to lifePoint Church in South Hadley Ma and we are currently studying Bury the Ordinary in our life Groups. The suggestion at the end of the video of the program Practicing the Way would be a great path as well

Something is incomplete..I agree that we have to have patience, love, unity. But I want to add that the Bible also says for everything there is a season. If we live in constant relax mode, we will not have the awareness to be alert and ready for battle. Paul writes --therefore take up the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you will be able to stand your ground, and having done everything, to stand--. Yes, I agree with John Mark that the devil wants us to stay busy and chasing the next thing, but we must also not fall towards the the other side of being relaxed and "patient". What I'm probing is, evil does not sleep. And if we aren't alert and focused to withstand the devil, we can be the next victim of devil's lies about abiding in rest and being tolerant in the name of "patience" and false "love". ...God is love, but God is also a warrior (not worrier) ;) If we abide in Jesus, lay down our life daily by surrendering our desires to follow His, we will know when to rest and when to stand up. As John Mark said, it's all about balance.

Understand what you say ,but we miss things mainly because of being busy busy busy , in prayer we hear from God and are more aligned to holy spirit , x
@Kiara-ie9ee2 жыл бұрын
@@marianking1379 that’s a good way to put it. I agree. Prayer and following the lead of the Holy Spirit will bring us to make the right decisions and help us be alert to hear God’s voice. Right on. 🔥

Family member who visits in a hurry. Goes to parties in a hurry, Everything is a rush to be home and she and her husband is retired. Even when the kids arrive she is in a hurry for them to leave. Does not let you speak whether you call or she does. It has gotten worse. She travels 40 minutes to only stay with me 15min. One day it was 30 min and I congratulated her after she left. Not sure why she does this and not sure she does.

The Trump comment made me cringe. Say what you will but Trump was the most pro-life president we’ve had in decades and is fighting the insane trans social contagion that is mutilating the bodies and minds of countless young people.

Effectively Buddhism / mindfulness wrapped in Christian language
@LassePeterson19 күн бұрын
Except the very foundation is different... There is no turning to Christ who has freed you from sin and who then guides you into the relation with the triune God. In Buddhism you are me and I am the universe. This format is not ideal for conversations like this 😅

I'm a big Willard and Foster junkie, and it seems like Comer is dangerously close to plagiarizing their words. It's fine to use their ideas but every time I hear anything from Comer, it's their exact wording without giving them credit. I am confident that John Comer is creative enough to come up with his own words without plagiarizing Willard and Foster. Many people haven't read Willard and Foster and I'm glad he's carrying their message to a new generation, but using their words as his own is kind of sad. Any academic writer would be fired if they plagiarized this much.
@JeremyTPierson754 ай бұрын
I have read all except 2 of Willard’s books and listened to hours of his video content… I have read every book Comer has written so far and listened to almost all of his online connect… I have still to find a place where Comer does NOT give proper credit to the people he quotes or ideas he uses… Comer is also extremely well read and he credits many authors from a wide range of disciplines in his talks and his writing…
