I have a question.. Tattoos are something that are looked down upon in the Sikh community. Which I understand but as someone who has gotten tattoos in the past, I get judged at the gurdwara. Conversations that make me feel like they see me in a different light. If we are supposed to see each other as god himself, why judge? I am learning more and more about Sikhism and our history as I age. But why do I now look at myself as if I’ve disappointed my guru because of what everyone says? Why do I feel less compared to others at the gurdwara? Are tattoos bad for the Sikh? Regardless if the tattoos are of Sikhism or not?

First of all, the Guru’s hukam is not the hukam of the people. So don’t take the crowd as a representative for the Guru. Also what kind of tattoos are they? What do they represent? Are you the same person who got those tattoos if you have changed No need to feel bad. What the gurus because you are not the body and the true guru Doesn’t look upon someone as a body. Rather the guru looks at everyone as consciousness.
