Spiritualism vs Religion: The Religious Myths That Keep You Feeling Stuck and Trapped
There's a Hindu proverb: "Life's great mysteries: air to birds, water to fish, and man to himself.
Spiritualism, when relieved of its religious dogma, become humanity's original spirituality.
Spiritualism vs Religion is opening the spiritual eyes of your soul to experience spirit directly VS a set of morality based rules and regulations intended to control our animal nature rather then help us grow spiritually.
Spiritualism allow you to experience what the great spiritual masters all knew, you’ll understand the difference between spiritualism and religion, between the signal and the noise.
Welcome to spirit360 fellowship where we teach spiritualism as a whole being, spirit-based process so discover your unique path to a happy and thriving life.
3 Religious Myths That Keep You Feeling Stuck and Trapped are...
∞ Love - acceptance. Religion concerns itself with the morals of others - spiritualism with walking our paths in alignment with our values and beliefs.
∞ God - not a who but rather a what. What is gor? God is. Religion use God to justify their rules and dogma. Spiritualism seeks to find and understand the true nature of God which is found within.
∞ Heaven and hell - religion seeks to control behavior with eternal consequences. Spiritualism seeks to walk a path of harmony here and now.
This either makes perfect sense to you or it doesn’t. If it doesn’t, very little will ever change your ability to comprehend these simple truths. If it does, and you want to pursue a direct spiritual experience, we’ve created Old Soul Academy to get you started. You can join us in our Facebook group or at oldsoul.academy to preregister for classes.

I studied religions for a long time until I understood they were not for me and I was showed was God is and that he loves us all unconditionally like I have loved my husband for 34 years unconditionally now it is so simple to give that love to other's in need and they don't understand how I can do easily. I feel these words are true because I live in a world with God and the Angels who guide me everyday. Thank you for your words today. Love and light brother

I truly believe everything stated here. Always felt the control in religion no matter what denomination I belonged too. I’m no longer a part of religion. I still pray but I do not need a church. Jesus prayed on a rock. I meditate and have written some pretty amazing words based much on the context in this video. Much of what I received from prayer and meditation was information based on spiritual love, energy, and multiple realms and experiences of the soul.

' “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye. ' Matthew 7:1-5 'Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. ' Romans 8:1-2 You are right about religion and how it has been used to hurt people. But Jesus did not come to establish a religion. He came so that people could have relationship with him and have everlasting life. The heaven or hell phenomena is not designed to scare or control people. It is the laws of nature. No one is good but God, and no one deserves to be in the presence of our all just and perfect God without accepting the sacrifice that he made for you and me by dying on the cross for our sins so that we may not be controlled and tied down by them.

From my experience, we find these types of memories get created very early in life, before we're verbal or communicative, then get buried deep within our subconscious. They then bubble up from time to time in strange and odd ways with no apparent rhyme, reason, or context. I hope this helps.

Enjoyed listening to this. However, I would define this topic as 'Spirituality vs Religion'. The term Spiritualism was coined in the mid- 1800's and was a philosophical and religious movement that sprang out of a discovery that our souls live on after physical death and are able to communicate with people still living on the earth plane. The basic understanding/belief that encompasses Spiritualism is much the same as he is speaking about here, but it actually is a registered religion in many countries around the world. Spiritualism is a religion that emphasises free will, personal responsibility and the need to think for ones self as opposed to accepting any form of dogma. It is most certainly is not about a vengeful God of any shape or colour. So for me this is talking about spirituality, regardless of any particular spiritual label.

Is there a difference between Spiritualism and Spiritism ?
@theStoicMedium
@theStoicMedium 2 жыл бұрын
@TheHumbuckerboy - Generally speaking, Modern Spiritualism is Pseudo Christian and often heavily bible-based with its origins in America coinciding with the Fox Sisters Phenomenon. Spiritism has its origins in South America and is very light on the "ualism" parts of Spiritualism, specifically the Christian rituals and practices. Spiritism is more closely aligned with Spiritualism before the Fox Sisters. At Spirit360 Fellowship, we are an Independent Spiritualist Church that is non-denominational and non-religious in our rituals and practices. We practice and teach what works with the cornerstones of our practices being stillness meditation, psychic development, mastering the healing arts, and an experiential pragmatism based on skills-based development. Having said that, we are more closely aligned with Spiritism but with fewer myths and less superstition. Thanks for asking and I hope this helps just a wee bit.

Agree with what you said about the negative side of joining spiritual teachings with other religions etc. It's not always bad though to me if you don't study them all all spiritual teachings. You really don't see the bigger picture of thing's. In this aspect theosophy or occult thought is a good thing. I've always believed spirit communication is real thing a rare thing though. In theosophy the teaching of h p Blavatsky. They do not believe in spirit communication. For most part they think most of it is a medium getting in touch with the astral she'll of a person. That the soul long gone does not come back. Now spiritualism in the beginning did not blend reincarnation within there teachings. That came from Alan kardec founder of spiritism. Spiritism is spiritualism but they believe in reincarnation. This line sort of hazy today though. I believe medium are real but medium'ship is more rare than some like to think it is I'll tell you why this is. Each ever time the physical body sleeps be it night or day. The astral body's and it's other body's like the casual or mental temporary leave it's physical shell or prison for a break. Normally the person does not remember but this can be achieved with great practice. We the real you the Soul do go see are loved ones on the outside side or summer land and we see others we love from other life's etc. So the soul does see you loved ones already. To them it's literally a blink of an eye to we come back home. Not only that they can and do see us in physical body if they want too. So medium'ship is like this reminds me of children going to school. They come home with family afterwards rest etc then go back to school or Life. Medium'ship is like being at home all night then them feeling the need to seen hello notes. In your lunchbox. This would be silly highly unlikely. But maybe if you're loved ones are Corkey but not likely. Only if there a true reason well they shine through or come to you in dreams or in person. Only if the temporary character we are playing can't move on. Because the soul does see them so unless it's something going on with the temporary character it's more likely not going to happen very much or not at all. But it is a real thing one needs to remember we are not who we are now the soul entirely different. But upon death or dying your lived ones will come they of course well look the same. They can bring this on or keep that look if they want.

For me, the best teacher is experience. In my experience, when we set out to develop verifiable mediumship (not to be confused with evidentiary mediumship), we experience directly what so many only seem to have a speculative or theoretical comprehension. For me, the study of other philosophies and belief systems helps me understand some the "tribal truths" people bring with them that inform their "personal truth" that has created their current life circumstances. It's my intention to help people develop "objective truths" about their spiritual experiences. A funny thing happens when you deliberately and intentionally set out to develop psychic abilities in displayable ways that are easily verified, theories become practices that produce real world results that transform one's life. Glad you stopped by and connected.

@theStoicMedium
@theStoicMedium 3 жыл бұрын
LOL! I know what you mean... Fortunately, once we are human, we only reincarnate as human beings. There is no back sliding (hence never a tree, cow or duck). The best way I've be able to comprehend Spiritual Progression and reincarnation is that we're drawn to spiritual perfection (aka Nirvana) like moths to a flame. This attraction to perfection has us seek answers that reveal what we don't understand and can't figure out any other way so we reincarnate into a new body to create circumstances and scenario to help us discover the missing pieces in our understanding of perfection. The final aspect of reincarnation that helps me accept it as simply the way of spiritual evolution is that if we consider that "GOD IS" as an abstraction (similar to the Islamic expression) we realize that there is not outside force making us reincarnate as a punishment, but rather a personal choice we make along our spiritual journey. The last thing for me to share is that we never require anyone to believe or accept anything we say as "the truth." Instead, we ask you to consider what we've found to work as a possibility while together we do the work of developing our psychic and healing abilities into skills that we can access and display, on-command. It's during the journey to this level of mental control that we can see for ourselves what works for our own lives and whether it makes sense to adopt our philosophy. 🤨

I dig Spiritualism but I'm more of a Misotheist as God and Heaven and Church and all that stuff just doesn't give me good vibes lol. I'm convinced in ghosts though. I just want to practice my own True Will. I also dig Satanism but it's too Atheistic for me, if you know anything about LaVeyan Satanism. Thelema sounds cool but Aleister Crowley has a lot of controversy surrounding him despite a photo of him on my wall. LOL! I just identify as a Misotheistic Spiritualist or a Misotheistic ghost believer, so I guess I'm in both communities (Misotheism and Spiritualism, but mostly leaning on Misotheism.) Everyone around me tells me I'm wrong, EVEN ATHEISTS! I'm a loner for a reason.

@@theStoicMedium God is good and bad. God and Satan in one person, but mostly Satan. We are trapped in this Hell cycle for all eternity, brother, by him, and the sad thing is we cannot get away from him, he just makes us reincarnate over and over, because he thinks it's fun, or funny, or something. I heard a person who had a pre birth experience, they said they were in Heaven, and God went "Who wants a body?" To the orbs in Heaven, if what this man is saying is true, then what kind of being is that? THIS SHOULDN'T BE A GAME! I'd rather go to Hell or have my soul destroyed, no way I'd want to deal with a being who just picks orbs out of an incubator just for their own enjoyment. This is a corrupt world created by a corrupt being.

I do not follow or believe any religion. God let's humans live their lives free, not dictated on how to think, feel, act or believe. My religion is trying to evolve my soul with more goodness and to protect those innocent and vulnerable in life. Its about respect of others who are not causing damage or distress intentionally to other living beings. Its plain and simple. I don't need to follow anyone who dictates in following their religion or beliefs or values. I follow my own spiritual path. When my body dies, my soul can only be judged by God himself.

@Doons Day, Thank you for stopping by and connecting. Just to clarify your point... your truth is the TRUTH so when you quote the bible it's non-delusional. But when anyone quotes the bible from a context different from yours, they are delusional. If I understand your point, then that explains to me why there are so many different flavors of churches using the EXACT same book to justify their version of the truth. From your perspective, I'm delusional when it seems Christians can even agree on unified context for their teachings. Fascinating.
