Amazing playing but the stereo image is very confusing to me. (Maybe the guitars were not double-tracked but some "artificial widener" was used?)
@spirorips2 ай бұрын
@@drrodopszin good ear! Yes It was a conscious choice to use only 1 guitar track per part, with the plugin’s new doubler feature. So nothing was double tracked. Completely tossing mono compatibility out the window for what feels like a slightly more unique sound to me.

Awesome to see the ESP JRV-8 in action in this context! I love mine, even though it weighs around 10lbs. 😅 Don’t make me buy Nolly X, Neural DSP. I’ve already got enough plugins! Asato, Henson, Petrucci, Gojira X, Morello, and Rabea. 🎸
@FaxMercuryАй бұрын
how are you liking the JRV-8? on the fence about getting one myself
@EulogyfortheAngelsАй бұрын
@@FaxMercury in terms of playability as an 8 string strat, it’s perfectly playable without much fatigue besides the weight. The upper fret access honestly isn’t great, even for the 22nd fret. The neck is not paper thin, but also nowhere near as thick as other 8 strings I’ve tried. It has beautiful cleans thanks to the 2 single coils, and the bridge humbucker is excellent for crunch, rock, and metal tones from the plugins I mentioned in my first post. Position 2 and 4 sound absolutely beautiful clean. I alternated between it and a 70th Anniversary Strat for testing clean tones, and the JRV8 held up great to the real strat. The Floyd is a Floyd - I love them and it works as expected, though a little firmer because of the increased tension from 8 strings and 4 springs to counter them. Many complain about the cost - I see it as a unicorn in the production line 8 strings. How many 8 string strats with this much versatility can you find as production models? None other than this, basically. No stainless steel frets is unfortunate, but if taken care of nickel will always play well. In a few years, either this kind of model will catch on, or it will become rare and sought after. I do wish it had 24 frets.
@FaxMercuryАй бұрын
@@EulogyfortheAngels thanks for the comprehensive answer! I agree about the price point being for something unique, I was surprised this model went into production honestly. I had the JR 608, so i know about the weight but loved the neck and his signature fishmans for those versatility and cleans.

@ryleywilson4361Ай бұрын
@@EulogyfortheAngels These guitarists believe that moving bends and exaggerated vibratos anywhere is having feeling, they simply don't say anything, they don't know how to enrich a melody with feeling, their melody and their way of managing the notes have no feeling, their exaggerated faces when making a common vibrato, etc.
@spiroripsАй бұрын
@@ryleywilson4361it sounds like it made you feel something enough to comment
@ryleywilson4361Ай бұрын
@@spirorips Since you comment, I will give you a free analysis of your song, you only took Skrillex's dubstep, Andrewhulshult's music, which is something created mainly by Mick Gordon, you added some of Tosin Abasi's rhythmic technique with a need to put the alternated muted because you think it's your style which partly ruins the song, then you tried to add feeling with bends and vibratos that don't say anything thinking that you will impress those who look for feeling, but they only tell you that you have feeling the same ones that say to Jason richardson or michael angelo batio that they do have feeling, you can see your ambition of wanting to innovate and wanting to fill in things that you don't yet master in your song, your rhythm could have been much better, this song would have been better if you only started it in one way more elaborate, add more change of rhythm and especially the transition to the melody after the solo feels fast and forced, if your song had moved me something I would be commenting on it, but it is a shame to see nowadays psychopath guitarists who have no emotions to believe who know how to do it alone with feeling because they study it and run bends and poor melodies anywhere without saying anything
