I got to tip my hat to the Brits. The Spitfire is a flying work of art.

I never realised how big the corsair was. Beast.
@delten-eleven19104 жыл бұрын
A larger propeller, a huge radial engine on a sturdy carrier capable airframe in dark blue makes the Corsair appear larger.

The Slow Spit was good for around the patch . But the 51 and 47 went into Germany and beat up the Germans .

Mr Pietsch must have supreme confidence in his aircraft and his flying ability to perform those low altitude maneuvers. Simply spectacular.

All important in their own right.....all different approaches to the same problem. Love the Stang and Corsair......but my heart always belongs to the Spitfire.

Did the Brits redevelop any other planes for u.s.a. Or was it just the p51 ?
@429thunderjet24 жыл бұрын
I don't know that the Brits redeveloped the mustang necessarily. It was developed and built by North American. but they did eventually give the U S the rights to build the Rolls Royce engines for it. The Merlin made better power than the original Allison. That and they Named it Mustang!
