If ever there was a good reason for the string players in my orchestra to practice their intonation, the new Staff Pad additions of better strings' sounds is it. Live is always better but it must be IN TUNE. Hats off to all the live string players who dedicate their lives to excellence - Bravo!

Was anticipating the update for a while now, read the blog entrance just now and experimented a little bit. You fixed most issues I have had with StaffPad so far, it's a joy to write music with! The new playback is pretty awesome even withouth the in-app purchase, but this is phenomenal!

Sounds great, What are the other sample libraries for woodwinds and brass and percussion in this particular demo? I have purchased Berlin strings and brass so far for the iPad...

When are you releasing orchestral tools’ glory days on the app? Right now brass mutes and saxes are the most prominent “missing” items in the store, particularly for anyone writing other types of music (jazz, big band, soul, etc). There’s folks I’ve talked to who are holding off on getting this app entirely based on that fact alone (not me though - I’ve fully invested!).

I think it's $99 in the app store. But I think for the whole orchestra it would be like $400 or something since each orchestra choir is $99...

Cosmo Keys that’s not bad in comparison with the best kontakt libraries. Even then, if you don’t want to buy the add-on’s, you can export to midi XML and all the notation and controller data should be transferrable into your DAW. I’ll say, just from the amount of time drawing in notes on the DAW, that this is a great resource for sketching out or finalizing the “written” score. The performance itself can be performed by a seasoned DAW (since the libraries available on there are still way more extensive than anything you’ll find in the store here). If, however, staffpad somehow found a way to interface with your current Kontakt libraries though, maybe through a cloud or external hard drive... that would be a real game changer.

How do you write pizzicatos on staffpad?
@FreakieFan
@FreakieFan 3 жыл бұрын
You write 'pizz' in text above the staff and it automatically changes articulation.
