Kazaaq means dacoit, robber. Russian country Kazakhstan has same meaning, land of dacoits. Uzbek also has simular meaning, Zaheer Ud Din Babur was from Farghana Valley of Uzbekistan. He was also a dacoit. Listen to a qawwali by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan that says Yeh muhalla hai kazaakon ka Yeh huseenon ki basti hai Yeh loot letey hain Nain milaa kar I read Kirpal Kazaakh's stories in college in 1977 at Ludhiana.
