Pylon Imp is a HUGE missed opportunity to be an armoured Imp variant, since PvZ logic has always suggested that cone = more health. Imps are pretty fast to begin with, so having like 90 or 100 health would make him much better at the cost of a speed loss. Plus his mech could be much more tanky with something like 500 health, keep the mines, and replace the right ability for something more defensive. Pylon would basically be a defensive beast made to camp objectives, since all of the other Imps are assassins to begin with.

At the same time, Coneheads are the weakest armoured version, minus miscellaneous ones like newspaper that have additional abilities. I think that's why, the implication is that cones are weaker than whatever they use for the Z-Mechs

Pylon has one of the best mechs in the game imo. Also, his mech is the fastest one, moving at imp speed. The imp itself I think is better than Drake and worse than shrimp. He is very good at range if you know how to aim with Pylon unlike Drake which isn't that good at range, which is why Pylon is better. Also I'm voting for Supremo

I have four imp variants, and pylon is my favourite. However, when you play it, you get decent mech time. When I play it, a Gatling Pea deletes my health bar in seconds 🗿

Random tip from a guy who never played online: throw a gravity grenade at your mech when you activate self-destruction (chances of success are low, but can be quite effective) Also, try S.H.R.IMP (I know it's a bad idea, but I want to see how good you truly are).
