I’m glad that I’m not alone in finding that the Octo-expansion is basically the golden standard for paid DLC, and that few if any games have gotten remotely close to the quality that this has achieved.

true completion means that each of those 89 challenges averages out to about 2 variations per. on top of that, most of the challenges are as long as a level from the included singleplayer, but with more focus, with the shorter ones having the time investment spent differently (test failed! or intentionally wonky mechanics)

Also it does mater in the single player as you have to do the whole level without dieing three times or you have to redo the whole level and in octo expand when you die a certain amount of times you can pay again and start from that checkpoint

@@HiHi-sh6jn even doing them first try, true 100% in octo is just as long as, if not longer than the base singleplayer (solo weapon run. the other weapons bloat the completion % with no real added value). the lack of deaths come with time spent taking it slow, and i highly doubt any player is so proficient with every weapon that they wont get at least one death. also, just because those 89 challenges are what is advertised does not mean that is all that exists. there is a final series of levels leading up to the final boss that DONT count.

one of the best tips for brush oven DX is to break the armor (if you have it) on the "glazer" the moment it extends, as it cancels the attack, leaving the much needed ink on the floor. Hard, but that little trick drops it from an 11 to a 6 or 7

I'm down to that merry-go-round times enemy level, and Girl Power.

@@SnoFitzroy fam regular agent 3 is no where on the same level as inner. Inner Agent 3 has the best aim possible coupled with some severe tool advantage and an array of constantly armed specials. I beat the relatively quickly but even then it was one of the biggest challenges I've ever had in a game that wasnt artificial difficulty

Octo Expansion might've singlehandledly catapulted Pearl into being my favorite Idol across all three groups. Don't get me wrong, I love how multi-faceted Marina is, but Pearl's aesthetic combined with her single-minded devotion to rapping and screaming is just...so delightful.
