hydra is actually super useful for king salmonids! the problem is that you were trying to kill bosses. with hydra, you gotta just shoot the king 100% of the time, and ink turf whenever you can, but mostly just focus on shooting. it can also obliterate the mothership singlehandedly!

hydra in salmon run = suffering. sure it has good dps but you have to charge it while not being able to keep your charge or recharge like you can with ballpoints and nautilus... takes a lot of time to charge and its awful for a mode where salmonids are literally everywhere and you need to keep moving (you cant move locations while having your charge)

The rizzco splatana is a very powerful weapon. The normal deals 200 but has low painting. Charged has peirce and one shots everything except for kings. It can even hit underground maws.

Like other comments here have said, Hydra is a fantastic salmon run weapon in general. You were just too frustrated and needed to take a break so you could step back and think about the weapon. Generally speaking, your allies will be able to clear for you if you just stand back a bit. You're not a short range shooter, you're a slow charging splatling.

@@Lea-np8rs Luck. That really it. Getting solid teammates. Getting good weapons. Getting good waves. Not having Flyfish and Stingers spawning constantly. Basically the stars got to align for a score like that. My hazard level was maxed so a lot of bosses spawned and they gave me Grizzco weapons twice and then last wave I got Sploosh-O-Matoc which is my best Salmon Run weapon by far. So I did a lot of boss slaying and egg moving. I also just play a ton of a Salmon Run so I've gotten really good at it.

God you must be the luckiest person ever. I had to join a livestream to get my gold, and even then it was a nightmare, felt like I got the twin special everytime nonstop. And the fact that most of my weapons were ones I suck at (hydra was the worst for me oml). I think things got better for me when I dropped from eggsec to profresh, but man was it overstimulating. Moral of the story: eggsec's overrated imo 💀
