While I think that Um'ami Ruins isn't really the best choice for a challenge like this (Mincemeat would've been pretty interesting), it was a blast regardless! Being able to jump really high makes Um'ami and Museum that much more traversable and adds new routes that make the game feel fresh and exciting!

It was so funny to see people play and just randomly jump or squid roll to experiment. In one match we all climbed to the top of the rotating pillars on the museum map.

Loved this challenge. Makes me hate the time limit windows even more. Was so fun and really opened up the games weapons and specials in different ways. Also the maps!

This is probably the first ever challenge that I’ve ever managed to get to participate in for two of its time windows, and also had the most fun in, mainly from how much more creative you can get with the routes, and just like Foggy Notion’s challenge, make use of some weapons that benefit more from these challenges than they normally would in normal gameplay. Of the two windows I’ve joined the Extreme Jump challenge in, I’ve mostly seen more blasters, dynamo rollers, and tri slosher nouveau users more frequently than I usually would, as most of those weapons not only goes around the tower’s pillar, but also benefit from not having wildly, poor, shot accuracy when jumping.

Had a lot of fun with pro deco on this one. The crazy jumps made it so worth swapping in a couple mains of intensify action. Really wish they'd make these events a day long thing so it's actually easier to play though. For me they are always at a time of day when I need to be doing other things or the net isn't the best.

So many challenges feel like they should be permanent options. Other than the obvious utility of fun private battles, I think some, like Sheldon’s dressup / random battle, should just be a mode. So many games have great random modes, this feels like it would be a great way for players to try out a bunch of weapons on an equal playing field where they’re not “throwing” by playing something they’re not used to, because everyone else is too.

If they just made challenges a new multiplayer mode, as in always available and rotates between challenge modes the same way ranked does, it'd legitimately make this game like a million times better. You could even have two different ones to allow for more variety, maybe one is turf and one is ranked, or they both rotate through all four ranked modes and turf war

Next they should have unlimited ammo/ink. Have the weapons operate on an overheat system. Meaning that if you hold the shoot button for let’s say 5 seconds then your weapon would over heat and you’d need to wait for let’s say 3 seconds. Not sure how this would work for non shooters

I’m pissed off with this game now, this challenge mode is supposed to be happening in this rotation as I am righting this comment, but for some STUPID reason, when the rotation came around the option to play the challenge was not there. I reset MULTIPLE times to see if it was a glitch but now I cannot play it… EVER! And I was looking forward to trying it out so I just have to be jealous of other people. 😢
