I believe the Splash Wall hate is because of Charcoal Decaviator. Nintendo may see that as a possible problem, learning from 52 Gal maybe. It also gives shorter range weapons a better chance at handling Walls.

Now that I think about it I think you're right. The new splatana would have definitely been an issue if wall was still as strong as it was originally.
