Hi Splatter! I really appreciate your videos, honestly so many of the games you review appeal to what I enjoy in indie games, and shows how much is really on steam to explore. My question is, would you consider ever making update videos on games you have reviewed in the past that actually are available for purchase now? So many games you review are really interesting, and I know we can just add it to our wishlist, but if you made a weekly video going over games that just came out and your recap of it with some gameplay included, I think that would be really helpful to your viewers. Anyways thanks again!

He already recaps games as they develope and talks about most every new games that come out daily one at a time, and these aren't reviews, these are gameplay videos to show what's out and how it looks sounds and plays very generally. It's for wider exposure for devs, it's a brilliant concept, but hard to do cause you need to learn how to play new games every day to talk about them and still not grow jaded and burnout.

This has potential. Dwarf Fortress has a very high floor for the entering due to its controls and UI, even with tilesets its extremely hard for a new player to get into. Hope devs will grow wider and further on mechanics and content.

and thats totally ignoring the fact that you can just go into the menu for each dwarf and tell them what to equip if you dont like whats on them. I do it all the time with my front line mobs just to make sure theyre the bleeding edge. But of coarse, I, grand master of the land, get the best gear first~

I own the game and its worth it...there is like 20mods with bigger world, lot of new playable factions, there is mod which allows you to dig down and find more shit...and when the enemy invade its kind of hard to not lose half of your army...especially if they have casters

Meh. Dwarf Fortress itself drew inspiration from a lot of games.

@@isitanos Name one. When Dwarf Fortress was created in 2006, there were no other games like it. The closest ones were city-builders like SimCity or The Settlers. Or management games like Startopia. They likely inspired DF, but they weren't exactly DF's "genre", nor did they approach DF's complexity. Contrast that with Gnomoria, Rimworld, Stonehearth, Craft the World, etc. which are unapologetically attempts to remake DF with a friendlier interface. Just to give you an idea of the influence of DF: Minecraft was inspired by Dwarf Fortress. And that itself spawned its own sruvival/building "genre" like Terraria, Starbound, Green Hell, The Forest, etc.

I recently bought Conquest of Elysium 5 and have been enjoying it. Lots of races and units, managed to win using lovecraft-inspired cultists who call monsters from the depths of the ocean or from other planes of existence, always with the risk of the monsters turning against them.
