I assume the idea behind the "graffiti" in the title is in reference to the game itself taking on a more chibi-like art style, i.e. artistically masking the more gruesome characters and enemies from Splatterhouse in a new coat of paint with its own, distinct style from the first game (since Splatterhouse 2 and 3 weren't out until later)
@GatorRay9 жыл бұрын
+Caz That would make sense Caz.

@mementoa90259 жыл бұрын
+Stop Skeletons From Fighting That's news to me. From the West Mansion fansite interview I heard they were planning on making a sequel instead, which sadly never came to be. Its a shame since because of your video, you got me into the game and a lesser extent the series, which I wouldnt have considered before due to the poor reviews. For a game stuck in development hell, it turned out to be pretty fun. Here's hoping though one day Namco Bandai uses that Dark Souls and mobile game revenue to produce a sequel, or at the very least a remaster with slightly more story content. Crazier things have happened this year, like all these ports of obscure Japanese games and visual novels and such to Steam.
@tonesdad04088 жыл бұрын
+mementoa My hope is that If they truly plan on keeping the franchise buried, they should consider selling the IP. Strangely, to me Nintendo could be a good fit. @miguelb56615 жыл бұрын
I thought the reason for emulation was to back up games you OWN; meaning paid for. Not to be advice to do all wily nilly and rip people who worked hard on the game. For these older titles, sure. But for more current games, that's piracy my friend and ur the reason a lot of smaller developers close cause their product doesn't sell well do to piracy.

I did an episode about it a few years ago for Halloween, and I glossed over the possibility of a US release with "whatever, violence and religious imagery." +Crazycarls adventures Yes they were. I got Mega Man Ultra from them (which is the Mega Man 2 rom hack) before they bit the dust. Capcom are the ones who basically killed them off as this was mentioned on a thread in Nintendoage forum. Capcom got them to do the Golden Ducktales NES carts that were part of those limited edition press releases (see Guru Larry's channel he got one). and then Capcom made them shut their doors right after that (that is what I heard anyway, I know they did the Golden Ducktales carts for sure) (they claimed they got too popular and too many orders to keep going is Timewalk's official excuse).

I don't really get why they (my guess Now Production was forced to) used Mapper 19 aka. +Stop Skeletons From Fighting Haha. It's flawed but I think it's the most unique. The atmosphere is amazing and it gets an extra point for having Goya's Saturn Devouring His Children featured. The cutscenes still hold up. The gameplay is a bit shallow but better than most beat 'em ups at the time (aside from Capcom's CPS2 games like Punisher, AVP, Cadillacs and Dinosaurs). The big flaws with 3 is that there's not enough focus on weapons, enemies do too much damage towards the end, and all of the bosses annoyingly play keepaway. I can almost no-death-run part 3.
