pro tips: -poise up if you intend to run past enemies and go through a fog gate or ladder to not stagger when you get hit once or twice. even if not traversing a fog gate, it might be useful to do so when running past enemies in general to reduce chip damage and getting stagger combo'd. just be aware of the stamina regen reduction and shorter roll distance. also don't be at nearly 0 zero stamina when you take hits on ladders, you'll fall off and that will be deadly if they surround you and trap your movement right after. -if you want to really trivialize things as the video mentioned, use summons when possible and don't be in company of champions. also you can maybe activate the infinite brightbug bug early. apparently it involves just being wet for it to work but i haven't tested for sure. -for the explosive barrel into mcduff's you can't easily get the barrel to respawn if you mess it up, you will have to homeward bone out and run to the barrel again. some tips i have for it is to bait out the enemy away from the barrel so he doesn't explode it so you can kill him. do not use the stone ring when using a bow to bait him, it will stagger him and he will then try to attack and explode the barrel, it happened to me before. if the rolled barrel goes away from the wall, try running into it and jumping at it to get it to move towards the wall. firebombs work as do fire arrows and any fire infused damage such as the fire longsword (just be prepared to take damage with that last one). also for 100% physical block shields there is a royal kite shield for sale here if you don't pick up the one after pursuer. it costs the least amount of strength. -in this run you might as well kill Cale for his helm for the +2 dexterity and +1 endurance it gives. not sure why splee5556 does not optimize for it. -I recommend getting the twin dragon greatshield from Maughlin early before you kill him its not a 100% (95%, you'll take tiny chips of damage while blocking) defense shield but it has a high 65 stability (as is typical with greatshields) for the least strength investment of 20, 10 if two handed. there are 4 souls to pick up that you can get immediately after starting the game you can use to buy it before killing him. one by the destroyable wagon near the very first bonfire of the game, one near the drop down ledge in things betwixt, another in the heide's tower transitional area with the gates (and a crimson parma and broken thief sword is there too), one to the right of the blacksmith's house. -be very careful about backstabs from the transparent enemies in shaded woods. they are a nearly guaranteed OHKO in the company of champions covenant. i could only survive it with a bit of health remaining if i wore the drangleic set and with 50 vigor. this area by itself may be worth popping a brightbug for. -if you want to retry the pursuer trick, try killing all the enemies that chase you up to the fog gate. quit out if you fail. by killing the enemies you won't be mobbed by all the enemies when you load outside the fog gate upon loading up the save again. -the ring of regeneration obtainable after killing the last giant might be worth a pickup. its infinite regeneration if you AFK. good for recovering chip damage from the forementioned twin dragon greatshield.

yeah i usually go for 24 ADP. the next i-frame is at like 33 or something which is way too much stat points so that is where i stop as Knight.

Yeah you want 96 AGL not 95. 96 AGL will get you 11 s same as dark souls 1.

A run idea I haven't seen anyone try before is how far in a souls game can you get by controlling low level enemies (in terms of getting past and defeating enemies, not in terms of if a latter stops your progress or they can't fit through a door). I'm sure it's a lot easier in ds1 compared to elden ring, but it would be interesting to see in any of the games For clarification I don't mean controlling an enemy and then switching to another one once that one dies, i mean how far can a specific type of enemy get before you run into an enemy or boss that is too difficult. A rat wouldn't stand a chance but a knight with a shield would probably be able to get far

Something I've always wondered about the Company of Champions. Say you despawned some enemies. Would joining the Company respawn them? And if so, can you leave the Company right away after joining, and they get their I think it was 12 spawns again? I've still never played SOTFS, and I have the Xbox version. Can't imagine there's still tons of people doing co-op, so when I do finally play it I'd like to know if I'd be able to infinitely keep enemies around or not, since you'd need to farm some enemies for certain items IIRC if you can't do the co-op. Sunlight Medals, stuff like that I think?

@@EarthboundX Yes, joining the Company of Champions will respawn enemies that have despawned. If you leave, they will despawn again however.
