Thanks for the tutorial! What I haven't graspedyet is, why one goes through this lengthy progress if "cut and paste" would do the exapt same thing?
@GaryTerzza2 жыл бұрын
If you were just to cut & paste without splitting the regions, you would overwrite the section you want to keep.

Thank you so much I didn't know how to split it until now thank you.😊

This is what I have been looking for but what about when you are editing music and you need the beat to be exactly where it left off?
@GaryTerzza2 жыл бұрын
Ah that is more of a musical timing question for which, sadly, I’m not qualified to answer.

I'm getting an annoying click/pop sound when I join 2 split clips on a track. The black line that divides/joins them is where I keep hearing it. I don't recall it doing that before. How to get rid of that?
@GaryTerzza3 жыл бұрын
This could be due to any number of issues. Perhaps there just too sharp an edit where you are cutting into a breath or word.

Here is the situation, i have a voice talking and a background music, and i want to split voice and background music into 2 separate labels to change them seperately, any tips ?

Hiya I’ve just started using Audacity and I’ve imported a song from KZbin that I’d like to clip at the drop so that I can slow the later section of the song but not the first part. It won’t let me clip it for some reason
@GaryTerzza4 жыл бұрын
Go to edit -> Clip Boundaries -> Split. Make sure you select the time shift tool to pull these regions apart.

The latest iteration of Audacity is powerful and easy to use. It’s also free, which has to be a bonus.
