Every time I search tie-dye to get ideas but never ran across any videos from you and then it was just recommended.

That’s awesome! I only started this channel a month ago so that might be why, but it’s good to hear that I’m reaching my target audience. I hope you stick around for more!

I really appreciate your videos. Still working on my glitch tho. Is there a way to not have the glare when you are folding on the table? It makes it hard to see. Is there a difference in putting the soda ash on the ice as opposed to putting it directly on top of the dye then putting the ice? Does it affect how the dye flows. It has been a minute since I have done gravity dye because I do not have proper space, but I think I can try something like what you set up.I will tie up two closet racks I have. I also prefer nugget ice for gravity dyes. So much easier to put on. Hey did you have to add more ice? Sorry for so many questions, but as you know from my posts, I am wordy lol

Sorry about the glare. Not really much I can do about that. As far as the soda ash goes, it doesn’t affect the flow of the dye. It just makes sure the vibrancy of the color sticks around and doesn’t fade. You can put it in the dye or on top of the ice or both. It’s beneficial to put it on top when you’re using more ice. The idea is to make sure there’s still soda ash in the shirt after the ice has melted. If you only put a little on the dye then put a lot of ice, you might wash the soda ash out of the shirt (bad). Yes, I did end up adding more ice after it melted. It wasn’t quite as saturated as I wanted it. Thanks for the questions! I hope this helped!
