This is so clutch Paul. That Photoshop -> After Effects -> Premiere Guides workflow is a really effective workaround, it's pretty funny that you had to do such a tour of the Adobe suite to pull that off. Feels like they could integrate some of those features into each of their programs...

Hello master of the masters haha. Any way to have zoom motion effects to randomly apply to my clips once trimmed? I mean, some way to randomly select clips to apply an effect. The first clip and the number 4, 7, 9, 12 and so on ...
@ThePremierePro3 жыл бұрын
Interesting question! The first solution that springs to mind is to use Find in Timeline (Ctrl/Cmd+F) to search for random letters/numbers in the clip names (e.g. a, 3, etc.) then click Find All to select all matching clips. If there isn't enough randomness in your clip names, then you could sort them by any column in the Project panel and apply label colors, then use Edit > Label > Select Label Group to make random selections in the timeline.

Glad you found it helpful! To make one screen talk while the other stands still, add a freeze frame. Position the playhead, right-click the clip, and select "Add Frame Hold." Drag to extend the freeze frame. Mute or disable tracks to switch between talking and still screens. Hope this helps!

Restarting Premiere can fix this - otherwise, it helps to delete the effect and replace it with a new one.
@provinzGFX11 ай бұрын
wait, so auto reframe also acts as a kind of tracker? But chooses the subject itself ?
@ThePremierePro11 ай бұрын
Yeah kinda - it looks for what's "salient" in the shot (faces, hands, high contrast, etc.) and tries to keep that within the frame. However, it's only triggered when the footage aspect ratio does not match the sequence's aspect ratio.

if I need just split four frames it is easier to crop them?
@ThePremierePro2 жыл бұрын
If you have 4 screens that are 2 rows and 2 columns, the easiest & simplest approach is to scale down each one to 50% and then snap it to the corners of the frame. If you need to quickly crop and switch the images, this method is better.

How create text layer as on preview ?
@ThePremierePro Жыл бұрын
There's many different ways, but basically you'll need to mask out the background around each box - you can use a mask in the Effects or Essential Graphics panel. If you created your guides in Photoshop (as in the video) you can just create a border and place it above your text layer.

This may have something to do with your Keyboard Shortcuts - open them up and see if the number keys have been assigned to something else. Otherwise, you can also change angles by right-clicking the clip and choosing Multicamera > Camera #.
@krunk1452 жыл бұрын
@@ThePremierePro Really appreciate your concern. But the thing is, i did check that out, and.the problem was that, i could see the clip name chnaging in the timeline, but on screen, some of it appears, some of it dosent. I thought it might be some rendering issues, since i stacked about 25 clips on top of each other on this project. But that wasn't the case either unfortunately. But still, Thank you for the 'creating guides' tutorial. That helped me with finding out another way. Long... but it did help me get it done :)

This is such a simple thing to do and you made it so complicated… It’s only 4 clips …you could easily put it together just by listening to it and there’s no reason to go into Photoshop. If you can’t make four clips the same size in premiere. You should be looking for another job.
