When you steal you're guaranteed to either win, or stop the other person from screwing you over. If both of you choose steal then you still end up with the same result yourself that'd you get from choosing split and the other choosing steal. If you have a good conscience then you can always split the money with the other person after the show. Granted, if both people share this same mindset then you both walk away with nothing.

What I noticed is that this outcome is causing most happiness. The audience is extremely happy, they both scream it out. And I doubt it's simply because of the money. It's because they are relieved they aren't screwed over, and that honesty payed out. Which is an amazing feeling. Watching this today I thought he was going to split but thought she might steal right up until she told him she would 120% split it. Then I thought both parties would split and hoped that I was right. Thankfully I was. It’s awful to see one party steals as I feel so much for the person that gets cheated out.

Notice by how the guy is smiling a lot you can tell he is happy about something and he’s trying to hide it, but what we don’t know is whether he’s excited to split and picturing having the money or picturing himself being devious enough to steal. At first I thought the women would split and the guy would steal but after rewatching it I could tell by his statements that he’s telling her directly that he’s going to split without much movement of the body signifying a non deceitful answer. Right before he tells them to reveal the balls the guy says “I’m going to split” most likely out of nervousness but since he’s holding the ball it seems as a true statement. Overall interesting video to deduce and I found the audiences reaction amusing.

Now THAT'S how you play the game. Honestly, I would be very dissapointed if even one of them chose steal. When the pot is that big, there's no need to be greedy. It's only the right thing to do and pick split, and I'm glad they did do just that. Happy for both of them.
