Nice catch! It missed us all completely! :X Luckily David was on 0 cards in hand and he just activated 2 more times in later turns, so it didn't affect the outcome of the game!

Clean Yarok combo. All of those cards naturally fit into Yarok so they aren’t really dead cards at any point.

You guys deserve much more subscribers. I've discovered you randomly 2 weeks ago, and i've watched all of your videos. Great editing, nice commentary, cool cEDH decks. My only cEDH deck is a GAAIV stax control deck, and i would love to see one of you guys bring the Arbiter to the table once.

Not keeping a carpet of flowers against 3 blue players is a misplay in my opinion
@pedrosequeira98294 жыл бұрын
I think Monteiro hoped he could rush Yisan early, plus he knew Golos was landless. But I still agree with your PoV, Carpet was a lot less risky
@MyNaoise4 жыл бұрын
I dont understand why he kept shakira tribe scout when he didnt have the 3rd land in hand to guarantee turn 2 yisan
@SplitSecond4 жыл бұрын
Sakura can go well with Quirion ranger which he could fetch as the first Yisan counter. That's why it was instantly shot down by Brandão with Dread presence, as Brandão piloted that deck for a long time already

Super suprised with 4 turns floating the narset player didnt win then and there. The odds of her whiffing at that point are sooooo low. I was shocked another turn wheeled afterwards. Shark typhoon is such a random card in that deck. Also what happened to his opening hand eti? When he hit scroll rack with waves of agresson flipped I THOUGHT FOR SURE he was going to put eti on top of his library, play waves of agression attack and win. Weird

I looked at the yarok decklist and saw many combo lines but unsure of how to get to them/how they work. Is there a primer for the deck?
@afonsobrandao56274 жыл бұрын
I built that deck based on cobblepot's list. He goes over all the lines here tappedout.net/mtg-decks/yarok-throw-your-lands-in-the-air/ :)

How did Baal untap his mana vault through the collector ouphe? Still an activated ability as far as I know
@SplitSecond3 жыл бұрын
Mana Vault's untap comes from a triggered ability that fires at the beginning of its controller's upkeep. :)
@KUR04NDT0R02 жыл бұрын
At the 6:26 why didn’t he attempt to play narset?
@SplitSecond2 жыл бұрын
He had no mana to do it. Grim Monolith was shut off due to Collector Ouphe.

If only Narset isn't deadlocked into Extra Turns Tribal, then i'd build a fun deck for her. Otherwise, i am not, or i can undo the life of any Narset players in my community. Gotta remove the parasites, right?
@SplitSecond4 жыл бұрын
You can do different things with her. There's a player in a close playgroup that ran her as an super friends deck with obliterate nd armaggedon effects. Maybe less consistent, but something different none the less :)
@VeganSpaceman4 жыл бұрын
He shouldn’t untap mana vault because of ouphe right?
@SplitSecond4 жыл бұрын
Mana vault's untap ability is actually a triggered ability, unlike Grim Monolith. If you read the old card it might induce you to error, but the new UMA printing is worded like the Oracle.

For Game 1 - Can someone explain to me how Golos came down on turn 1? Cloud Key just makes Golos cost 4 mana. Not 3 And they only had Grim Monolith and Chromatic Star "open" Am I just missing something?
@davidcalvao4 жыл бұрын
Sol Ring produced 2 colorless, but Grim Monolith only costs 1 due to Cloud Key. So he has 1 colorless floating after casting the Monolith to use on Golos

Not having underworld breach in a Narset list seems like a misplay.
@davidcalvao4 жыл бұрын
Since this list is more focused on playing expensive extra turn spells, when Narset gets rolling, Underworld Breach would be a dead card. For it to be worth it, I would have to build a different deck with her.

Boring 3 opponents with a game of solitaire to the point where they quit is not a win
@pedrosequeira98294 жыл бұрын
Depends how you look at it. You can choose to be excited for the player and see if they'll make it. David isn't going to play Narset every single match, so it's fine if he tries something different and it works out
