Great video, do you have any others showing the work you did or putting the cases together?

I have a power valve video for the 300. I also have some top end video that I need to work on and post to you tube someday.

Also. Did u heat up the case halves to install bearings? I wouldn't think it necessary. How did u do it??
@burstcasino Жыл бұрын
Yes. Put bearings in the freezer overnight and heat up the case. Some persuasion might be needed. I used a heat gun on the cases just dont over do it. You don't wanna warp your cases.
@beta2stroke Жыл бұрын
Yea. Beta manual says heat to 150. But was also told use heat gun. Maybe heat it up a little and than just lightly tap rest of way in.

Hi did you do video of replacing the bearings i have do mine just wondered how hard it was to do.
@burstcasino Жыл бұрын
I don't have a bearing removal video. I heated up my cases with a heat gun and then drove them out from the other side of the case using a socket that fit the exposed bearing. You might try some other you tube videos. A press is the preferred method but a hammer, blocks of wood to support the case, an extension, and some sockets can also get the job done.

Question. The countershalf bearing cage broke on my 21 beta on the outside behind the seal. Is just splitting one side as u did all that is needed to replace that bearing? Beta using that case is stupid to use. I get it is to separate the bearing. But seems I do not need to go too deep into the breakdown

I replaced the crank bearings on this job since I dunked my bike into the Louisiana swamp.
@beta2stroke Жыл бұрын
Yes. I read that. That plastic cage seems to be issue with other bikes on breaking. You would think that they would put something stronger. How long did it take you to remove motor and split case??

Can I do this with taking the clutch basket off?
@burstcasino Жыл бұрын
The clutch basket really doesn't come into it. You might get by with taking the power valve covers off but I don't recommend it. You don't want the power valve wings falling down into the bottom end. I'll do this job when I am changing my piston and have the cylinder off the motor. Good luck.

I just need to get to the conrod

Why you doing the bottom end, something go bad? Everything looks good from your video. I could see doing the top end but splitting the cases seems like overkill...

Swamp water in your engine is a no no... Kinda had a funny noise or knock that made me start an inspection. Evidence of water on the piston and hammered head orings.

How’s the bearing feel? Did you submerge the motor?
@burstcasino3 жыл бұрын
Bearings feel good but got some grit from the swamp water. Small pebbles and sand in the crank area. New bearings are going in since I'm at about 170 hours anyway. I would of waited longer but the evidence of water in the cases was the kicker for me. That Cajun Classic was a butt whoppin'...
