I just moved into a new apartment! I was lucky enough to bring (and fit) most of my furniture from my previous 1 bdrm to my new studio. Ended up saving on a new dresser that could double as a TV stand. And investing in myself by buying a Peloton bike. I'm now a doctor in training, about to start a crazy schedule and having the luxury to get a good workout in my home is so worth it! Also, loving your videos as a new subscriber!

I would most definitely splurge on my mattress, kitchen appliances and any kind of electronics. I would save on couches, curtains, bathroom decorations and probably night stands! Definitely things that I might want to change later on!

I currently own a small townhouse. I’m renovating my basement area as a playroom for my daughter. I’m going to splurge on the TV/electronics and save on the furniture. I don’t want to buy anything too expensive that she might destroy in the playroom. Great video! I always enjoy your content!

As an active duty member and a young woman going through my metamorphosis stage right now, I think splurging on good bath towels, kitchen appliances and electronics are a go. Furniture & decor definitely save. I’ve ran through so many furniture pieces because I didn’t know what my style was or having to constantly move and like you said the spaces are always different. I’ve burnt a lot of money 😭 but thank you for the Amazon tip! I did not know that was a thing and I will definitely be utilizing that tool more.

I’ve recently splurged on bath linens and bedding. Honestly, worth every penny. As a homeowner, I think saving on glassware and dinnerware… everyone’s style changes and those are items that should change as you change. I try to donate all items that no longer bring me joy. Hoping they bring someone else that sense of joy for that season. Congrats on 50k!

Splurge on a sofa / sectional. You can add and take away pieces . Crazy for me to say… Because, I really don’t like sectional. However, sectional have come along way. A lot more durable today compared to the way sectional was made years ago. Very informative video . You broke down how to “Splurge and Save “ better than most Interior Designers on the KZbin platform ( period ) …. Finally someone understand what being on a “Budget” means… !!! Thank you!! ❤️👏🏾🙏🏽💪🏾🙌🏾👑

I hear you about the boucle. I just can't understand why other channels insist on encouraging purchase of expensive boucle items when they will be out of style in a couple of years. I splurged on my couch set and refrigerator when I purchased my first home about fifteen years ago. I still have the couch set.

I'm with you on IKEA sofas. They're too low for comfort. That said, I wish I'd bought them for my living room because my younger son has destroyed the moderately priced set I bought! I love china and have six sets -- not complete sets, though. We don't eat out often, so I like to change dishes a lot, depending on what food we're eating. Four Fiesta plates for Mexican night. 6 plates of 30-year-old Villeroy & Boch Basket pattern, for Italian, plain white for delicate looking food, etc.

Love this video idea! I’d switch the rug from “save” to “up to you.” Since rug sizes are more dependent on the size of your sofa or bed instead of the size of the room, you can definitely take a rug from one place to the next! An 8x10 or 9x12 rug is appropriate for most sofas, and a 8x10 is good for a queen or king size bed. Now whether I want to splurge on a rug (regardless of renter or owner status) is a different question because rugs are priceyyyyy!

I'd splurge on a sofa. A good quality leather or fabric in a neutral tone will last a long time. I spent wayyy too much on a trendy, blue velvet tufted sofa in my first apartment. It went out of style so fast lol

I’m currently revamping my entire apartment and trying to figure out what to splurge on and save on so this video couldn’t have come at the best time! Thank you! I think I’m definitely going to splurge on my bed mattress, because the one I have currently has left me with so much knots in my back, and comfort is key for me, so I have to stop being cheap on that. As for saving, I definitely want to change up my light fixtures, so I will definitely save with the idea you gave for amazon! Congratulations on 50k! You deserve it Queen!

I've had a leather sectional for 17 years. I got it from Z Gallerie , paid $1200 and it has held up but now I need a new one. My puppy ripped it. I can't believe how expensive leather sofas are..OMG. The one I want is 7k. I guess I'm going to be saving for quite some time and I'm a renter too.

We splurged on a bedroom set when we got married in 2001 after the years I did refinished it to give it a new look since is solid wood I refused to let it go and buy something that is not going to last, the only thing that change was the headboard and I pay 150 dollars at tjmaxx 🤭for an upholstered headboard, same goes for my pans and pots stainless steel and I still cook in them 21 years after. Same advice my mom told me lol she still bakes on her kitchen aid bought 25+ years ago. Great content Sabrina 😊😘🎉

Splurge - Cutlery, Appliances, Artwork, Bath towels,Linens. I have a queen size mattress that's awesome so I won't be switching that out for quite some time. I try to keep my linens neutral, so they work with any color changes I make in my bedroom. Save - Basically everything else. If I want a piece of furniture that's more high end I watch for it to go on sale. A lot of high end pieces end up at discount sellers once they go out of season in the stores. Sometimes you have to wait for a minute but the savings is worth it. 💰

Congratulations on 50k. I’m sure there are many more people coming to be bless by your creativity. As you know I not to long ago made over my space so I splurged on the rugs. I saved on everything else. In hindsight I wouldn’t have spent the amount I did on my accent sofa but it still looks great. Moving forward I think I will most likely splurge on my mattress and a pot set. Everywhere else I plan to save.

In my apartment, I splurged on sheets, appliances, and certain furniture pieces. I did save on different furniture pieces like my kitchen table ( I did a epoxy marble D.I.Y tabletop on a $10 Facebook Marketplace table), my coffee table which I upcycled from Facebook marketplace for $20, my ikea dresser (inspired by your dresser video, just did it slightly different) and my night stands. Smart tips Sabrina! I recently sold my home and downsized to a smaller apartment until l build my dream home on my already owned land. I definitely agree with you with investing in staple items such as quality cookware, and classic furniture pieces. And other things you could spend a little less. In my current space, l've switched out the hardware and kitchen faucet. I would splurge on my sofa for the long term and TV console. I say this because while love mixing high/ low, l will still purchase it on sale. I love thrifting quality pieces.

Honestly I totally agree with you. There are differences of what one needs to splurge on and not depending on living situation. I am finally getting ready to purchase my own home and I am looking at investment pieces. Those that will last me the end of time. A mattress and how it will serve me. There will be no sacrifice there. NONE!! From the mattress to the sheets. Cookware, time to make a real investment. My current sofa in my rented space will go in my basement and then I will be making an investment in the living room sofa. Love this video Sis.

Kitchen appliances/kitchen items (knives specifically), electronics and a mattress is what I splurge on. Don’t get me wrong I will still look for a deal for these but these are items I would not mind paying full price. Currently packing my apartment , that I’ve been living for 3 years, and some something’s that I unnecessarily splurged on (that aren’t electronics, kitchen appliances, or my mattress) are things that I’m getting rid off. I usually save on everything else. Thrifting for decor and diying it is my go to. Congrats on the 50K!!!!!💕 I hope your channel keeps growing and growing. I agree with most points made here but I am going to say that mattress should definitely be a splurge item. You are right, no need to spend $4K on one but being prepared to spend at least $1K is wise. I would only suggest not splurging is if you plan to buy a bigger bed within a year or two (and even then, steer clear of the $200 ones!). A good quality mattress is more than worth the investment. To add... I am not a renter but still find extreme value in your content - I found you a few weeks ago and have watached almost everything you have posted in the last year. Looking forward to seeing more content!

We're curently renting. We have definitely splurged on kitchen essentials. Kitchenaid, airfryer and pots! Definitely saved on the cutlery and crockery. Changed out the cabinet pulls. Want to change the lighting and haven't gotten around to it yet. We have my husbands old bedframe and bought a new mattress. Definitely splurge in the mattress. You'll be more comfortable in the long run. Most of the other furniture was thrifted from migration sales (we live in Jamaica). Good quality. Solid wood. Definitely save on decor! We've been able to get so many nice affordable pieces on Amazon and Target. You just have to take the time to search. Don't waste your coins on too many pretty things. You'll want to change them out as time goes by and your style either changes or they just no longer function in your space. Congrats on 50k! Love all your tips and tricks. A couple more tips to save: You can easily make your own art! Get a big frame from a thrift store and paint a simple home decor dupe. And if you're only going to have a certain size bed for 1 year, $200 Amazon mattresses totally worked for me! I would definitely splurge on a couch and will go couchless until I can afford the one I want. 😂 I want the couch to last and be able to fit my vibe/space each time I move. I would save on decor and dishes. Like you said, decor is something I can find on fb marketplace and can revamp it to my liking. Nothing to spend tons of $ on. Congratulations on 50K! ❤️

Soooo this may sound silly buuuttt im gonna take to the porch of my forever home. A flag hanging from my front porch is a must splurge for me! For our family it means a lot. I bought the cheap posts and flags that I had to replace almost every year from wear and tear. When we bought our "forever home" ome of the very first things I did was get a gorgeous sturdy post and a real flag! Ironed her out and she's going strong. Still on the porch, I admit I looooove a good strong pretty pot for my plants! But absolutely will not splurge on a container for dirt!! ❤❤

Totally agree! Congratulations on 50k!! I’d splurge on linens and appliances and my bed. I’d save on curtains and some furniture pieces.

I agree on splurging on pots and pans and mattresses. I would save on decor. Your taste and space change from move to move. What you like now, you might not like at the next place or you might not have room for it.

Just moved to Germany and got a new apartment. This is very helpful because my best friend has been in charge of my precious apartments so, I am super nervous to do this alone. 😅 Thanks for this!

Congrats on 50K girl! Been following since you were at 11K :') I'm glad you mentioned silverware because I was just out shopping to invest in this and you just validated my thoughts on this being an investment. I would probably also splurge on a dresser because I HATE having low quality ones and I currently don't have one at all because of this. Totally agree on saving on the bed frame. Seen so many cute minimal looking set ups that can be replicated nicely without breaking the bank. I think another one that could be added would be saving on a desk for a work space because Its kinda like the couch situation!

I splurged on my couch and glad I did. I did get it on sale but my previous couch was cheaper so I never spent time in my living room. Got a new couch loved it spend more time in my living room which during covid became my office for a while.

I pretty much agree with everything. I live in a home, but it’s not my forever home, so I only spend big money on things that will come with me when I go. I have three Dutch ovens/pots and pans that are wonderful. But everything else I bargain shop for.

I definitely splurged on my kitchen appliances since it was something that I knew I would use daily. I saved money when it came to my bathroom decor because I know that I would switch that room out when I move again.

Living room splurge couch, tv stand. Dining room splurge dining table and chairs. The chairs are a grey area because I have simple ones but I did splurge on them because I change the color of them when my style changes. Bedroom splurge mattress and bedding. Kitchen splurge appliances. My save is on all decor. Congrats on 50K!!!!! Love your content.
