To this day I still can't believe we got 1) an episode where the entire plot was them arguing like a married couple while dealing with a case about an angel/human that fell in love (and as a bonus, multiple flashbacks/discussions to show that angels are genderless) 2) a reveal that dean made cas a MIXTAPE in the same season he says his mom/dad fell in love because they both listened to led zeppelin 3) just that entire shot of dean falling to his knees in despair next to cas's dead body Like, there was a literal "I Love You" scene and it wasn't even the most romantic part of the season. S8 and S12 are just season-long fever dreams honestly.

just wanted the point out that at 6:29, when cas shows his injuries to dean, dean only looks at it for a second before he gingerly pulls cas's shirt down the cover it. dean winchester, who has watched people being torn to shreds, who has been ripped apart by hell hounds, who majored in torture at hell university, couldn't watch cas be in pain, and he had to COVER it so he could move forward. dean loved castiel back.

Celebration followed by a And-They-Hunted-Happily-Ever-After montage, Kansas still playing. Sam hunts with then marries Eileen's crazy ass. Dean gets his own car restoration shop and basically becomes Bobby. Cas is helping with heaven but we see him save Dean from an OSHA violation and is obviously /very/ at home at the shop. Credits roll. Putin just straight up dies. It could have been awesome....

have you ever thought about the fact that after lucifer kill cas someone had to take him to that table? have you ever wondered if it was only dean (as it appears given the fact he's the one preparing the body afterwards), dean must've hold cas' body, possibly avoiding drag him (like they do when they just don't care enough about the dead body while trying to move it) - cas' clothes weren't covered in dirt, so... -, probably hugging him until he could put cas over the table and prepare everything. I think he didn't sleep, neither sam (who got all the wood). dean spent all night with cas, crying, trying to make sense of it all. he took care of cas even after his death...

Something I don't usually see people talk about but that I love so dearly is that even after 15 seasons, after all the years together, Dean still looks so amazed every time Cas heals him. Like he can't believe Cas thought he was worth healing, or that it didn't even occur to him that he might want to. And I think he's also just impressed at the fact that he CAN heal him. Just that look Dean gives him, _every time_ makes my heart weak. He looks at him like he's the whole world, and Cas usually just brushes it off, because it's a such a natural thing to him. Of _course_ he would heal Dean, why wouldn't he? He loves him, they're family, of course he's going to keep his family safe and healthy. I like to headcanon that whenever Cas healed Dean he would add in something else, something small but something persistent. Like maybe Dean has arthritis in his hands, or his knee still aches when it rains from some time he tore the muscle in it a long time ago, and he still can't sit indian style cause it just doesn't bend that way. Cas probably heals his liver over and over again, because the thought of losing him to something so normal and easily fixable as that is just something Cas doesn't want to entertain. He probably sharpens Dean's eyesight, and his hearing, and takes care of old scars that are so faded he's sure Dean won't notice. And of course Dean does notice. He notices all of it. Scars disappearing, suddenly he can see and hear like a teenager again (and he can drink like one too), and he can run faster, cause his leg doesn't bother him when it rains. And his hands don't shake so much when he's holding a gun, or when he's painting a devil's trap. He notices all of it, but he can't exactly bring it up. How could he? Cas may not even be doing it on purpose. It could just be a side effect, and wouldn't _that_ be embarrassing? But some part of him, deep down inside, hopes that it is on purpose. That Cas is choosing to fix all these little things, not because he really cares about the pain-pain has been the only constant for him over his whole life-but because if Cas is choosing to do this, then it means he thinks he's worth it. Cas thinks he's worth healing, fixing, piecing back together, slowly. And hell, that's all Dean wants, is to be worth something. So the fact that Cas heals him, and he has the capacity to fix all his little broken pieces with just one touch... it reminds him that Castiel really is an angel. And this angel, his angel, who is so perfect in Dean's eyes, spends his power and his energy and his _grace_ healing him, it's enough to make him stop and stare. It's enough to make his knees weak, hell, some days it even knocks him off his feet. So he can't help the big doe-eyed stare, the amazement, he can't help the bewildered head tilt, and sometimes he can't even help the bashful little smile. Cause he just can't believe it that Cas, _his_ Cas, can do something so miraculous, so impressive, so kind, and that he does it for him. But what is he thinking? Of course he can, he's Cas. And as far as Dean's concerned, Cas can do anything. I'm sorry I got massively carried away with that one 😅

Honestly this is the most painful love story ever told. They love each other but both think they don't deserve to be loved because they are broken and a mess. They litteraly spent 12 years pinning for each other and what did they get in the end? Nothing. At least Cas died happy but don't tell me Dean could carry on after seeing his "best buddy" dying in front of him while confessing his "unrequited" love to the hunter. The Dean we see in this video would either stop caring about life or do everything he can to bring Castiel back. Also, I love how once Cas is back, Sam tells Dean he is happy again (or something along those lines). Jensen's past statements on the subject still make a lot of fans uncomfortable. I'm not sure if he didn't see the subtext or just wasn't interested in that interpretation, but his responses to fans asking was not great. I actually think the fact that he didn't ever really want this relationship speaks more to the chemistry between the characters that they literally fell in love despite the writers and half the pair not supporting it (love that free will theme). That's so cool. But yeah, let's hold people accountable for their actions so no other LGBTQ+ fans ever have to be shamed for asking for representation.

Even with the series finale I was like “he saying I love you like a brother, where is the destiel cause I don’t see it”. (I actually named my cats Castiel and Dean, I didn’t want Sam cause I wasn’t a fan of his at that point and they are brothers from the same litter) However I’ve watched all of these you made and like this then I see it. Like why did they make them so dramatic? And basically pretty soon after Cas arrived in the show Deans manwhore behavior seemed to slowly peter out and after the angel girl i can’t really think of another girl he was with while they gave Sam love interests. If this is canon I wish the show had given it a little more confirming it, it’s almost like they were afraid to cross the line and have Dean truly confirm feelings like those

Meh. I felt that last speech was last-minute pandering to satisfy the "destiel" crowd. Dean seemed more awkward with it than as reciprocating. To me, Castiel always came across as very androgynous. It was the fact that he was learning to love like a human, and Dean was his role model. Right from the start he was blown away by how passionately Dean felt everything, how much he cared for the world, how much he loved his brother. The more he saw of it, the more he wanted to be a part of it. He absolutely wanted Dean's love and approval - there's not mistaking that. But what I don't understand is why so many think that love has to be homosexual love. It's the same as the incest shippers. Why is it that a man cannot love another man with such deep, abiding brotherly love without people assuming they must want to make out? Castiel was always very asexual, even during attempts at exploring his sexuality. So implying there is any romantic love to the relationship is weird. That's something I always liked about this show - that total dudebros were unashamed to hug it out and voice how much they mean to each other. Implying romance on top of that just cheapens it.

Please also try to think about how you would feel about all of this if Castiel had been a female. Would you still feel "meh"? Would you still wish that they were "dudebros"? If you seriously think about it and come to the conclusion that, if Cas had been a female, you would have been fine seeing them in a romantic light, then you'll understand the problem. So many people tell us we're delusional. That this ship is in our heads. There are times when I doubt I'm right because so many people on Twitter (mainly jealous b*bros, Cas haters, and homophobic fans) drill us and gaslight us that I start to think maybe I am seeing what I want to. But coming to these videos reaffirms that WE are right that Destiel is in the writing. That the acting choices of Jensen and Misha verify what we have been saying. Leaked scripts showing Destiel scenes coded with couples language. The Dean and Benny relationship was couple coded as hell. The Destiel scenes in the scripts read like romance novels. Destiel is real.
