Because a little later, Dean will get hurt but Castiel will heal him by touching him, every time Dean is hurt, Castiel touches him to heal him which he rarely does with Sam. I'm glad Dean apologized and forgave his best friend, that he had gone too far. Dean needs Castiel like Castiel needs Dean, they both deserve better. UGGHGHHH I'M SO MAD. In the later seasons, honestly, Cas deserves better. I dunno why Dean just behaves like shit towards everybody. To Sam, to Jack, and especially to Cas. And sometimes I would have loved Cas actually leaving Dean to be on his own, because Dean has hurt him too damn much. Or get in a fight with Dean and actually get him to feel really bad and just apologise. Of course it isn't Cas' fault, but I wish he maintained some of his rough character from seasons 4 and 5. And the apology in 15x09 wasn't enough; I think it's right for me to say that most of us were left with too much tension without resolution; Dean needs to apologise to Cas, in his face. Maybe I'm upset because I didn't see them two resolving their conflicts in the finale. Maybe it's why I am so in need of a reboot lol.

I can only imagine Castiel sitting in some corner of purgatory listening to Dean's prayer in his heart.........

Just finished the finale (late, I know). Instead of ranting which would be totally understandable and been done by many people before me, I chose to present some ideas which would've made the Heaven scene a LOT BETTER. *Scene* : After a silent few seconds, Dean thanks for the drink and says to Bobby that he's gonna go visit his parents, chat for a while, then go all over Heaven to find Cas. Bobby nods and Dean walks back to the Impala, where Cas is leaning onto the car, waiting for him. *Scenario* *A* : They look at each other and share a loving smile. (This is the most minimalistic change, but it would've left the ending up to interpretation as well as hopeful that they would talk and eventually get together and share the rest of eternity in Heaven by each other's side.) *Scenario* *B* : Cas says "Hello Dean" as a callback and Dean just shakes his head, smiles and goes to hug him. (I don't even need a kiss, okay, just a hug would do. This also leaves the ending somewhat open and hopeful, soothing the fans that they would be okay.) *Scenario* *C* : This is the angstiest and longest. Cas is sad and guilty and when Dean asks, he apologizes that he couldn't save him, that he can't leave Heaven anymore as part of the deal made with the Empty, because it still wants to torture him, even after he left. He says that he was in agony watching Dean die and Sam mourn and that he wanted Dean to have a full life outside hunting, but now he was dead and could never have that. Dean just smiles and goes to hug him, saying that he was alright because Sammy would be fine on his own and now he had his shot on the "life outside hunting" without an end. Dean holds Cas' shoulders and asks him to give him a tour in Heaven to show him all the changes he and Jack have been making, to which Cas smiles a little sadly, but also happily and they get into the Impala and drive away (Even here I didn't write a kiss. This also implies that Dean wanted a life outside hunting with Cas by his side and now he could have it for all eternity.) I was glad that the last scene of the show was about Dean and Sam. It was always their story. The Winchester brothers. But the fact that Cas didn't get a last scene with Dean or even a last scene, just a casual half-sentence name drop is infuriating me. They both deserved better.

The fact that all the angels knew. A lot of people took the “Angel who’s in love with you” comment as a joke, but now I’m sure Balthazar was being 100% serious.

I’m my opinion I LOVE that they we’re definitely a thing * loved each other * but I’m glad it ended the way it did. If they ended it with a actual relationship or dean saying love you back, I feel like that’s not dean at all. He’s never one for feelings and everyone knows they loved each other. In a relationship or just a true friendship I think it was beautiful and made the show 100% better for sure.
