@JustBrewha554 ай бұрын
I'm not disagreeing at all, but it may have been the dzeus fitting driver to remove the hood. The driver must have that in the car in case of a (small) fire/emergency after a run in the engine bay. An easy fix would be to get a, decent, quarter size magnet, stick it to one of the bars for the roll cage and attach said driver to said magnet. Can it still come off in the event of a crash? Possibly, but it would help and barely costs much.
@yhelloh3 ай бұрын

Retired EE here: yeah if wires are allowed to rub on Anything, they'll wear through, so you need wrap and/or padded clamps on all wire runs. One of the worst is letting stainless braided hose rub against Anything; it'll cut through like a slow saw due to vibration. Thread lock or Nyloc nuts on all hardware, or even safety wire on really critical stuff. *In short: build your race cars like aircraft.*
@Bill_N_ATX5 ай бұрын
Great idea in treating the wiring like aircraft wiring. It’s not cheap but when you are going fast for a living, or at least trying to, going that last extra mile is a good idea.
@plc2685 ай бұрын
@@Bill_N_ATX Yea, the wiring they showed in the video isn't great. There really shouldn't be any exposed wire without extra sheathing. There should be grommets going through panels. Actual motorsports wiring is overkill for this exact reason. Racecars will go through excessive vibration... bolts will vibrate out, solder joints will crack, wires will chafe, etc. Safety wiring the bolts is a good idea, especially for bolts that prone to backing out and are critical to the operation of the car

He said hopefully Cleet could get a run in on 7 this morning, have his track run done for the day and spend the rest of the day fixing it. With transmission problems on day 1 and engine problems today, I doubt videos are on his mind right now because if he was not able to make a run this morning, he is out. I really like the way you told the whole story, rather than splitting it into 2 videos. Great stuff.

This is the type of content I love seeing, testing the cars, getting data, things go wrong, things go right, it’s just real. One day i want my g body malibu doing wheelies on some insane boost numbers. What an inspiration this channel is. Go team mcfalrand racing!!

@@mrtandemslidessbttlmao Jeremy's personality is super boring true. Good guy, but boring.
@CloudHindlen5 ай бұрын
Thats pretty disrespectful. Jeremy at FasterProms aways treats everyone very well, and yes his personality is a bit unique but he goes out and enjoys life the way he wants and helps out a lot of people along the way.
