@Timothy Iorlano Seriously? That was November 1942. At the same time the Americans were engaged in the battle of Guadalcanal which took the pressure off the Aussies in New Guinea, having already deterred a sea-borne landing at Port Moresby via the Battle of the Coral Sea . We’ve since fought in Korea together, Vietnam, Iraq (twice) and Afghanistan, not to mention the diplomatic and idealistic battles we’ve fought together. And while there were fatalities, the Battle of Brisbane was little more than a street fight between young men under pressure of imminent combat. People like you look at a supermodel and point out a freckle.

Just to clear something up about Aussie Restrictions, RodShop is in Victoria (South eastern State) and the Premiere (State Governor) has set a lockdown in the greater metro and outer urban area with Curfews and travel distance restrictions which were 5km, now 25 km with good reason to travel plus Masks mandatory out your front gate. We also had some mystery outbreaks in a State with a tad under 6.5 million people and sketchy contact tracing which meant that the lockdowns continued. Hard to say for sure but id suggest January should be fine for international travel again. As for Vaccines? Well thats a bit of a political football but im not holding my breath but an educated guess is when you guys get them we wont be far behind. Out numbers today for infections are under 10 new per day and deaths are below 5 per day and mostly 1 or Zero. This has hurt us badly economically but the bright side is that we have all had time to play with our cars and projects, Summit and Rockauto ship quick and freight is cheap enough from the Good Old US of A so theres a silver lining for Aussies AND all the awesome regular content from you guys has kept us feeling ok about this stuff.

@drsoran It's funny you say that cause in my lovely state of NY, our fucktard mayor and governor have some of the tightest restrictions in the US and maybe the world, and we have as many deaths as California and Florida combined, with a smaller population. Also 2nd highest deaths per million, compared to our neighbor NJ. Sweden, a country that had no lock downs, no mask mandate, has a population about half of NY has had 1/5th of the cases and 1/6th the deaths of NY. Compared to Fl, they have 11 million less people, 1/10th the cases and 1/3rd the deaths. Fl is the 3rd most populated place in the US and has the 16th most deaths per million people. Now, don't get me wrong, 1 death is way to many. I had this bullshit for 23 days, and can honestly say it felt like a really shitty Flu, which I had 6 weeks prior to getting Corona. I have High cholesterol, COPD, and I'm about 35 lbs over weight. My father, had 2 heart attacks, 7 bypasses, kidney failure, was in the hospital for 6 months, contracted corona, in a nursing home, after Cuomo was putting sick people in them, unfortunately, he died May 10th, they wrote he died of Corona, but it was over 20 days after being diagnosed, and the nurse at the hospital he was sent to said he died from being septic from lack of dialysis, not from corona. They are bumping the numbers for political reasons, hence the reason there has been almost 0 flu cases since march in 98% of the countries.

My plane is setup the same way. Lycoming 540 with engine driven fuel and magnetos. Instead of a fuel tap I’ve got fuel tank selector valve and air fuel mixture control. At altitude we have to manually lean fuel levels to make the most power (less air to mix with) Shutoff is the same - cut fuel and burn it all out.

Castlemaine is here in Victoria, our Covid restrictions changed about a day before this video was posted, and we're all still trying to figure out what comes next. Our state has had tougher restrictions, which is why we're down to very low case numbers per head of population.... Unlike the US and Europe, which why travel is restricted. It's gonna be awesome to see and hear the reaction to those cars, and it's great that they're safe in the hands of well known folk who'll keep them secure and waiting for the owners to go join the party.
