I think my biggest takeaway isn't the skill as a racer, but the skill of being part of the COMMUNITY, instantly. helping tune boats, run shuttle... being useful while learning, and integrating with the racing community before worrying about being a hot-shit driver and youTube celebrity. Its a very different mindset than you see from a lot of other people.

totally, maximum freedom! Feels like the maintenance and initial cost of a sprint boat track would be lower than that of a race track. Plus there's already facilities for food/drinks/toilets etc. Do it cleeter! Maximise the potential of the venue. Garrett, having grown up in a racing family , I’m now 66 , one thing we always noticed that separated the so -so drivers from the cream of the crop were based on two things , the ability to make split second moves even when the hole didn’t appear big enough to go for it , and tying that together wit lightening fast reflex’s made most often a true winner! Cleetus is a truly gifted racer…anything he gets in he runs with the best of them. Ran the first GM stick car in the 7’s, runs right up there wish NASCAR guys on an oval, keeps up on a dirt track, runs with the best in a drift car, or a trophy truck, or a jet boat. It’s absolutely unbelievable. There’s certainly people better at one specific thing than he is, who’ve done it for years and years, but I defy you to show me someone who can get just get in something and pick it up as quickly as he can. Absolutely unbelievable. When I first started watching, around the time cleetus put Leroy in the 7’s, It was because I think drag racing is more of a demonstration of who can build the best driveline, less a demonstration of whos a better driver, but watching cleetus drive a bunch of different disciplines, I’ve learned that he’s truly a gifted driver if anything you put him in.
