Commander Thelin may be a member of the Aenar - a subspecies of Andorians. The Aenar are a very pale shade of blue, almost white or grey.
@christopherg23472 жыл бұрын
The concept of the Aenar was afaik only introduced in ENT. They were not a "thing" back in the last milennium. He might just be a less seen skintone of andorian. Chances are the blue skincolor somehow clashed with the other colors of the drawings, so they changed him to grey. However he was see in Trailers for "Strange New Worlds". I guess some half-aenar ancestry will be established.

An andorian-aenar hybrid, apparently.

After the animated series, "TNG" had a novel titled "The Eyes of the Beholders." One of the main characters was a blind *female* Andorian. So, even before "ENT", writers were already experimenting with race subgroups.

Over on Andorian KZbin, one imagines someone is commenting "Commander Sisko may be a member of the African - a subspecies of the Humans. The African are a very ruddy shade of pink, almost ebony or chocolate"

"What of Sarek's family?" No mention of an older brother Sybok or an adopted sister Michael Burnham. This is why gatekeepers exist: to remind the fans and writers of what came before, completely ignoring the fact that this was never truly canon.

They didn't do a very good job researching Sarek's family. There's no mention of his 1st son Sybok! That wouldn't have changed in this timeline.

Sybok wasn't introduced till the fifth movie. How was the writer to research a character who hadn't been created yet?

You have to cut 'em some slack. The animation studio had an incredibly limited budget. It's amazing these episodes turned out as well as they did.
