birthday never fun for me. I sort of kind of got 16th bday 1 person showed up but I apericatex that she did even if she could only stay an hr. And my mother to my 8th birthday only grade school party I ever had she invited my enemy Andrea to my birthday she was grr. When I was 2 and 3 church threw me a party lets just say it was weird not cause church was bad just more food and pressents then a 2 and 3 yr old can fully comprehend. It ended up being mostly clothes. I was good at saying thank you even to stuff I was like in my head I was like I don't like that color those look itchy and such. I do remember liking best what the child who he was 1 yr older then me the best. When I was 2 he was 3 he got me bubbles and ball I only know that from video and I liked that best. Some of clothes where cute both yrs most weren't it was late 80's. I remember when I was 3 and he was 4 he got me a truck I liked that truck. It was simple push truck of course enjoyed r.c racing with daddy. But push truck was fun when daddy wasn't there to help with r.c. i think the kid picked them out himself with the I know I like this and think she will to that or his parents watched me way to much jn church nursery which wasn't really a nursery.

This is too much. Though, I am very grateful to my parents. They have jobs that allow us a comfortable middle class lifestyle and for a few of my birthdays we've gone in trips. This is because my birthday happens to be in the middle of June so it coincides perfectly with vacation time. So, instead of any sort of parties or gifts or anything we've gone to places like Hawaii a couple of times. I'm also an only child or else I'm sure the situation would be much different. I'm very greatful to them, it's something we can all enjoy doing together.

"Gracie is a little bit of a perfectionist..." Yeah i would be too if i was spoiled that much. God, validation? It makes them feel like their doing a good job? That is why so many young adults are depressed today. It's because so many of them got whatever they wanted when they were children and reality slaps them in the face when they move out of their parents house. Do what's best for your kids and don't ruin their lives.

Allison Davidson I went to a movie, that wasn't even that good lol. Also for a few years, only one or two of my friends show up (I had made a handmade invitation and everything).One might think that I was sad, but I had fun talking and playing with even one friend. My relatives would even show up to fill up the crowd at the last moment. A few birthdays were truly memorable. One birthday, my friends suprised me by showing up and we had a blast. We played games, watched videos and had cake! I have come to realise that birthdays aren't made amazing by the crowd, it's made amazing by the people you love. I am a spoilt brat and by that I mean I always had whatever I have needed. But I will always cherish those birthday memories.

Plus I got to spend the day in my room without any bright lights and noise. Just quiet and dark. Just how I like it. I don't like chaotic noise and bright lights resembling the sun in any way are the bane of my existence. And that's what family parties always are. Chaotic, excessively loud, and super bright. And all over the simple fact that I haven't died yet for another year.

I was forced into being a Jehovah's Witness for the last 12 years of my life and now I'm just grateful anyone even remembers my birthday and wishes me a happy one at that! So the fact that parents are doing this just to compete with each other absolutely disgusts me. And I'm no longer a witness, in fact. So my religious background doesn't bias me one bit. Children are being turned into greedy monsters because their parents are competing with each other and using their children as pawns. Sickening.

This kid is complaining about the bird not being blue and not being able to drive, and I'm here sitting at home with a slice of cake with a cold watching KZbin and having the time of my life. We sometimes don't have money for food and she's complaining about the color of a bird on a cake. IT WONT TASTE ANY DIFFERENT!! BE GRATEFUL YOU EVEN HAD A PARTY!! For me, a party when I was 6 would be going to my cousins house, maybe hitting a piñata, and cake. Now it's ether friends over or just going out to eat at Olive Garden. My parents don't have a lot of money, but I'm still great full that they even get me a anything. Someone need to knock some sense in this girl, hopefully her family loses all the money they have and then maybe they will be more great full. And get that makeup off of her, she's going to grow up thinking the only way to be beautiful is if you have makeup and fake everything.

Lol, when I was in 2nd grade, my stepfather and mom brought full sized candy bars to my class, complete with balloons, and cupcakes. They wanted to bring a cotton candy maker, but the school wouldn't let them. Sure, it was crazy fun to a 8 year old, but nothing like *this.*

For my graduation party, all I got for a party was some cupcakes, chips, and small pool floats. The kids in here are probably like, “This stuff my parents bought is for poor kids.”
@Mimi-ur1ur4 жыл бұрын
No it isn't. The most expensive party I had ever had was my first birthday which was $100 in total. Also for my graduation, my parents took me to McDonald's with two of my sisters.
@kayleighd.54577 жыл бұрын
the most extravagant party I ever had was going to this place that gave you makeover and had a photoshoot with your friends. I barely remember it. my most cherished party was my 12th birthday party. it was at our local park I had two or three of my close friends ( who are still my very close friends after about 3 or 4 years) and my family there. my cake was purple with black fondant that stained mine and my friend's mouths for days. we had some decorations from Party City and balloons. it doesn't matter the amount of money you spend, what matters is the memories you make. never will I forget that party.

We spent $300 2 times for indoor Bounce house parties. Because we had been invited to them we felt obligated to reciprocate. One of the worst things you can do is spoil your child to the point where they feel entitled to everything in life and have never had to earn what they wanted. This is gross to me, they are raising brats. Love is not materialistic and cannot be bought. These kids are going to have problems when they grow up.

My mom would never "spoil" us kids when we were younger we had the normal 10 person bday party with a homemade cake and 10 dollar presents from target. Now that I'm 11 my bday parties are not really party's, they are simple take a friend to Starbucks, get your nails painted and maybe go to the store and get a little piece of candy type gatherings. My mom would never spent over $40,000 dollars to make us happy. It waste money and time. Me and my brother are sharing a bday party this year and only inviting 15 people that we have to split. All the kids at my school (accept for 2 of my friends) have phones mostly iPhones. They make up excuses about having to call their parents. I use my house phone to call my parents and rarely call my friends only if it's about something really important. Watching this video just made me feel bad for both the parents and the kids. When the kids grow up they are gonna expect everything to be perfect but without the parents you can't and the parents are gonna have to live with this for the rest of the sweet years of this and asking for more. What happens at her sweet 16. You gonna invite taylor swift, buy her a Ferrari, and drive in a limo going to a big house pool party spending millions of dollars. For my sweet 16 I want something cool but cheap and simple like a tarp in our backyard with balloons and a store cake and punch not a fricken ice dolphin with Diamonds for confetti or celebrities coming over to sing although that would be cool. I don't expect that much from my parents. Stupid parents you might think it's the kids fault but it's actully the parents fault for spoiling for children and wasting your money. Moral of my story: don't waste your life savings for something that you can spend $90 dollars on instead of $1,000,000 dollars on.

okay I have to say this it's not like the kids going to remember any of this when they get older so why are parents spending so much money on birthdays that are outrageously expensive instead of just doing a traditional birthday when I was younger my parents did a traditional birthday with me and I remember that but I liked it because it they didn't spend a whole bunch of money on things they didn't even need at my party and now what happened to that like I said this was officially gone insane in this is part of the process.

On my tenth birthday I really wanted a Harry Potter birthday so my mum drew an amazing hippogriff so we could play pin the tale on the hippogriff and we bought orange juice and pretended it was pumpkin juice and jelly beans for Bertie Bott's every flavoured beans then my mum made a chocolate cake and stuck strawberries on in the shape of hHarry Potter's scar and I put the four house names into a witch hat from the $2 shop for the sorting hat and we had a chocolate frog hunt with freddo frogs. You don't need thousands of dollars for a birthday party as long as your child has fun with their friends and/or family on their birthday.
