There have been two uncanny moments in my life where a fictional character spoke a word using the same inflection I use to address a pet. The first was when the robot Wall-E repeatedly spoke his name exactly the same way I greeted my cat Wally. The second was when Ringo said "Peaches!" at the end of BES s1e1 the same way I tease my golden retriever Peaches when she's begging for attention. Just felt like I needed to share that.
