Rodriguez & Tarantino are my fucking heroes. I was watching Spy KIDS when i was really young, then i snuck into my gran's living room when she was watching Kill Bill 1 & watched the full thing & felt so inspired. I only discovered Kevin Smith recently by watching Mallrats & Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back & absolutely adore him too. Smith is the comic-book nerd filmmaker. He makes films that have loads of references towards pop culture which is so cool. Tarantino, Smith,& Rodriguez were the underground filmmakers of the 90s that said "fuck Hollywood!" & went ahead & made their movies without any studio execs holding them back. Gotta respect them!

I love Rodriguez, he is one of my inspirations. He admitted he loves his style and isn't the best writer, which i think everybody would agree with. I would love him to get some fantastic scripts and direct them rather than doing his own thing

Every RR interview is awesome! These two men made me realize that movies can be more then just Hollywood fodder that is made for the 8 to 14 demographic!I would move to Texas and shine RR's shoes everyday for free just to say I worked with this legend!Sad I know!

Grindhouse was an extraordinary project, a brilliant duet, if you will. I think I’ve liked Planet Terror even better than Death Proof. What I admire about RR is that he’s a director, producer, screenwriter, editor and composer to his films.

He most definitely is one of the most gifted "trash" directors in the world. I admire him.

I have a feeling he made the Spy Kids movies because it is 300 million dollar franchise...now!Like Rodriguez, some people have kids and kids like that kind of movie! If you made a movie for Fox that made a hundred million dollars...they would want a few sequels and would pay big bucks for them!I loved taking my son to see a RR flick in 3D!

they make it seem like anybody could make a good movie. this is not true at all. most of kevin smiths movies suck pretty much and rr's movie are pretty good and its probably because he's super smart. you can tell. ks smart in a more nerdy kind of way which is why a lot of his movies have a nerdy quality but certain aspects i like. just an opinion. but the point is most everybody can't make a good movie. this takes a certain talent like everything else.

Clerks was a comedy masterpiece! The rest of Kevin smiths movies are hit and miss. I hear yoga hosers is really bad. But I personally enjoyed tusk, in a so bad it's good kind of way.
