I'm glad that there are a lot of people around my age and even younger that are coming out of the woodwork to voice their appreciation of this game. I think y'all missed out on the 3d platformer era with Super Mario 64 and Banjo Kazooie because of your age, but thankfully this game came out at the right time for you. I only managed to play those games because of my older sister. I have a better connection with this game since it came out when I was old enough to ask for games, so I remember getting the movie game and this game right after. This game was so good that I assumed it was the movie game's sequel. I still remember the first time I had played the game, with my dad in the room watching. It took me so long to beat the game, since I was an easily scared child. Those boss robots were terrifying to a kid like me. While I got the game in 2004/2005, I did not beat it until 2007. To my credit I played a lot of games in between. The movie game I was even worse with, only beating it without cheats recently, when I went back to play the games out of nostalgia. My oldest save in the game is from 2005, over a decade ago. The person I'd thought I'd be, well I'm not him. I am frankly not as mature as my childhood brain would think I am, but I am pretty satisfied with who I've become since. I miss those times though. No responsibilities, just playing my video games all day. I'm rambling on, but I have a special attachment to this game and my life around it all those years ago. We all feel the same nostalgia for our past childhood, our innocence, and imagination. Don't get me wrong, the game is fun, but our nostalgia includes more than just the game.

As a child, I remember playing this game over and over all the time. My least favorite places were Rock Bottom and the Kelp Forest. Goo Lagoon was up there too because of platforming. I had fought and defeated all the bosses except for The Flying Dutchman and the inside-section on the Robo-Spongebob. I remember the maximum spatulas I had was close to 75, and I had completed the brawl thing in the Krusty Krab. Other than that, I can't remember anything about the game.

Damn, I still remember this. This game came out in Oct. of 2003. I got it two months later for Christmas. I was 4. Now, I'm 16, going on 17 as of tomorrow. This (along with Lights Camera Pants which I owned)... were one of my childhood memories. Funny thing, I almost missed out on this. I had wanted Creature from the Krusty Krab (I don't know what the fuck I was thinking I was 4) but my sister told my mom I wanted this instead. I have NO regrets. Man, I remember the memories, from Sand Mountain, to the Industrial Park, hell this was back when Spongebob was good. The new episodes are a slap to the face. That's why I only watch the old episodes.The farthest I ever made it was Spongebob's Dream. I couldn't do the Flying Dutchman's Graveyard. It scared the shit out of me, but now, I think I'll hook up my ol' PS2 or GCN and play it for fun. Freakin' Nostalgia right here. Back then, things were good, from games to TV shows, now....I-I don't even know what to say. It's sad, but we'll always have the memories of the good ol' days.

These robots literally gave me nightmares when I was 7, I had to stop playing it because of the continuous nightmares. I then decided to play it again when I was 10 because I thought it wouldn't scare me anymore, I was wrong. Again, I had nightmares, so my mom gave it away. Now that I'm 20 this game has been on my mind for weeks and I can't stop thinking about how fun it would be to repurchase it and play it again. But after watching these boss fights, I can't help but fear that even though I think I am finally ready to handle these creepily rendered robots, that I will once again find myself having those same nightmares. I am a grown adult. I shouldn't be terrified and haunted by the way these robots sound and look. But am I? Of course. Will I still repurchase the game despite all of that? Absolutely.

Here's how I rate the bosses on how challenging they are: King Jellyfish: 2/10 - Not too hard, the only biggest challenges for this boss are the small jellyfishes stinging you and not precisely jumping over the King Jellyfish's lightning sting attack. Robot Sandy: 4/10 - Decently challenging, but isn't so hard once you get the hang of it. Probably the hardest part is when you need to jump over the robot's springy limbs when you're SpongeBob. Prawn: 5/10 - This boss can be challenging if you're not aware of your surroundings, like Prawn's horn attack or the Ham-mer robots attacking you while running. Luckily, attacking him isn't too challenging as long as you manage to find a safe platform to do the bubble bowl on. Robot Patrick: 6/10 - This boss is pretty hard due to both the green slime flying randomly while the robot's spinning and when the robot barfs a huge amount of slime at you or tries to freeze you. The robot is also difficult to defeat when you're playing SpongeBob for the second time because you have to aim precisely on the robot's back with the bubble bowl and do it quickly before the robot begins to attack again. Flying Dutchman: 3/10 - Not so hard to defeat, but can be a pain to go against if you're not aware on what the Dutchman's going to do (similar to Prawn). Robot SpongeBob: 8/10 - Defending yourself from this robot is so HARD. You got to be very quick on jumping from platform to platform when the robot does the karate chops on the platforms that SpongeBob's on and when it yells KAH- RAH- TAE! so loud that it's powerful enough to hurt SpongeBob. Defeating the robot is also difficult since you need to be quick and try not to miss any of the green lights on the robot with the bubble rocket. Robot Plankton: 9/10 - Definitely in my opinion the hardest robot to ever face. First off, you got to be prepared when the robot begins to fire missiles at you in a very fast pace. But the worst part is trying to attack him with the bubble rocket because the robot will randomly move back and forth in order to dodge SpongeBob's attack. How would you rate the bosses in this game?

The Patrick boss fight freaked me out when I was a kid. I HATED it when the Patrick robot looked at me or my character at had to fight that boss with a pillow between me and my controller. Good times, good times.
