I'm just amazed by all the little tidbits of information that you provide us with in your videos. And I’m once again extremely pleased with how affable Stephen was with his community. I never idolize pop culture figures, but he was just so genuine and cordial in most of his actions. SpongeBob really feels like a universal language, which should be treasured as the most soothing and endearing piece of media ever. It will forever be the GOAT in my eyes.

Both individual releases and sets of physical media used to have lots of extra content that added a lot to the viewing experience.

The only bad thing about this set is that the pilot episode sadly had to be excluded, making the title somewhat misleading.

I recently got to meet Tom Kenny at the Mississippi Comic Con near the end of June and it was so cool to see him in person! I got to take a photo with him and even got his autograph. I waited about 4 and a half hours in the line, but it was worth it to meet the man himself! 😁

13:19 I always found it weird that they used that clip of SpongeBob whispering in Mermaid Man's ear in the menu, because it's from "Mermaid Man & Barnacle Boy V", which is a Season 3 episode.

I really miss these earlier eras of DVDs, especially from the 2000s-early 2010s, they had a very short window of relevancy (the gap from dvd to bluray is quite short compared to vhs to dvd) but they were always filled with so much content and charm compared to modern day dvds

The simpsons releases usually have a letter from matt groening as well! I believe he reads it out loud usually as a bonus on disc 1

Except for the season 20 DVD that wasn't even trying. Supposedly they were going to do a season 20 re-release with new bonus features, but nothing ever came out of that.

My issue with it is the lack of Help Wanted. I know it’s due to copyright but it feels wrong for it to say the complete season 1 when it’s not complete. I like the first 100 episodes cause it has help wanted

I had this when I was 10. So Nostalgic!! I think this had the best episodes. Actually, I think Season 1 of ANY show is probably the best (Teletubbies, The Simpsons, Family Guy, etc)

I never had the original set but I had a lot of the compilation discs. The first set I ever got was for season 4 because it came out early. Later in life I got all the repackaged ones because they were way cheaper. I recall them being in two packs for like $7.

Yes, and plus they come with the same content, but with the smaller modern packaging. So if you're in it just for the viewing experience, can't beat it 👍🧡😁
