This season I really don’t like much but there’s some good ones. The “House fancy” episode, the first half i really enjoyed. It was cool seeing Squilliam’s mansion in his third appearance since season 3! “Krabby Road” is one of my favorite episodes of season 6. The theme of episode is very cool, and SpongeBob and Patrick, Squidward getting along together to form a band is awesome. The dramatic opening of Plankton escaping prison is great and over the top😂 I love it!

And with that, we’ve entered the Dark Age of SpongeBob. Seasons 6 through some of 9 are gonna be more rough than the others, and while I have some memories with this time of the show, it’s not great. You’ll still find some entertaining episodes here, but it’s not as much as the seasons before. We start with the Season I consider the lowest point of the Dark Age, Season 6. That being said, this pair of episodes is pretty good. Deceptively solid start to this period of time

Honestly, SpongeBob seasons 1-6 are the most creative seasons of the whole show. It's not until season 7 that a lot of the episodes become plot recycle happy. Like Plankton disguises as someone to get the Krabby Patty secret formula being the same basic plot repeated in "Someone's in the Kitchen with Sandy," "Gramma's Secret Recipe," and "Shellback Shenanigans." After that, the remaining seasons become just a weird mix between creative plots and recycled plots/elements.

House Fancy is my second least favorite season premiere of the series but I still wouldn't say it belongs in the bottom 10 SpongeBob episodes, even with the very painful toenail scene at 6:01, it's not that bad aside from that and Squidward actually wins here. 0:21 Bro really thanked the animators for giving us ass shots as soon as the season started. I'm not going to look at the comments because I know they're all negative, but I think the first 8 episodes of season 6 were quite good-not as good as season 5-but still had some great moments. I'm not hating on the crew or the episodes, but for some reason, after Episode 8, it started to feel more like what people would call "The Dark Era," though I wouldn't call it that myself. There are still some great episodes later in the season and the rest of the "Dark" Era.

Season 5 was kind of a mixed bag, but did have some legitimately good episodes. Season 6 on the other hand is where Spongebob really started to go downhill. It has a few decent episodes occasionally, but it only gets worse from here...

Yup, here we are. Things go downhill so quickly starting with this episode. It was an omen that Spongebob as we knew it was well and truly over. All we could hope for was that episodes would be decent at best. With one exception, being Sandcastles in the Sand. And even that has a disturbingly gross scene in it. I just don't understand what the writers were thinking.
