This is a remake of the Gamecube/PS2/Xbox era SpongeBob game. There's not too much story here so we cut out a lot. The gameplay hasn't aged that well, but the boss battles are still a lot of fun. Hope you enjoy the game movie!

@@THE-NC2 It's like a 5/10. The game mechanics haven't aged well. But if you enjoyed it when you were younger, of if you just love Spongebob there's no reason you won't love it imo. But if you're jumping in brand new to it, you'll feel how dated the mission structure and gameplay is.

@@tbt714 Going to have to disagree, this is exactly the kind of game that would come out in ps2 era. Hell you could say this was a ps1 game and it would still ring true. It falls into the same genre (I think platformer) as Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Dexter, Sly cooper, and even Spyro, all of which besides R&C haven't had a new game with their IP made in years. Spyro got a remaster but the gameplay didn't age well (I played the whole thing and enjoyed it), it was just purely nostalgia that sold it, just like this game. The game was just a token tv show game to make some sales off of the Spongebob ip, much like many tv/movie games that came out around that time. The gameplay style is as out of date as making a video game from a cartoon begin with. To say otherwise its just silly or you haven't played a video game from the last decade.

It amazes me on how well they remastered the game to look way better than it once was in 2003 it was pretty much the same thing except when they remastered this game they put a lot of more detail into it then it once was in 2003 though that was the original version but the details like I said before are so well done. The highlights, the colors, the facial expressions, the gameplay, the art work and animations, the characters movements, they done so good with the background art and made lots of improvements on this game just like the 2003 version the 2003 version was very well done 17 years ago and the remastered version is a pure masterpiece with all the work they put into it to make a real fun game again like it once was in 2003 along with the other Spongebob games. This Spongebob game is by far the greatest game ever made out of all things made from Nickelodeon this one takes the cake and the crown 👑. Team Krusty Krab! 🍔

That's been the case for 19 years I wouldn't really rate it because of Mermaid Man and Mr. Krabs voice choice it's an amazing game practically Banjo Kazooié just with a 100% SpongeBob overhaul and redesign. It deserves a full 9/10 with a badass seal of approval.
