Spongebob's age is unclear. In the episode "Sleepy Time" back in season 1 when he was going in people's dreams we get to see his dob listed as 7/14/1986. However, that would mean that when the show first started he was 13. The original creator of Spongebob that he always intended Spongbob to be a young adult.
