In retrospect, this is a very underrated Spongebob episode! The adult jokes are savage, the ice cream innuendo went over my head all these years, the ending is VERY touching since it shows you how much of a good person Spongebob is, and it’s one of the rare episodes where plankton doesn’t steal the formula! This episode is something special ❤️

There is also a detail I liked. After SpongeBob brought everyone back and ruined Plankton’s plan, he actually apologized about the Megabucket. Shows that he’s a nice guy and doesn’t have any ill will toward Plankton. That and Plankton’s response emphasize that Plankton wasn’t wrong for wanting to build a new restaurant but rather manipulating SpongeBob and being a sadist. Keeps you from feeling too bad for him and unhappy with the ending.
