Very cool video, and yes it does want you to want to get out there even if just for a short time. Can I ask was that an electric heater you had in your tent?
@explore_x_3 ай бұрын
Thanks, appreciate you watching. I will copy a response from below. It works well but may need slightly larger when it gets in the 30's. I do have an electrical blanket and that probably is the best. This little space heater was a test for when my family is with me to take the chill out of the air. Air temp doesn't bother me but does them. a.co/d/1sYrgbH. Here is link. Let me know if that doesn't work. Thanks, again for watching!

Dude I was just there a few weeks ago! I camped at the closest spot next to the trailhead on a Thursday night. Not a single soul around Friday morning. It's legit coming back up, did you experience squirrels dropping pinecone grenades on you going down. What a hidden gem, thanks for the video 🤙

@@joshuamichael7871 That’s awesome! No squirrel bombs that I recall but the trail was epic so my exertion probably masked anything like that! You’re right, very legit going up for sure. Appreciate you watching! Thank you!

Is this in Payson or Prescott? I lived in Goodyear for 5 years. I worked at Palo Verde Nuclear plant. APS. I'm camping, traveling full-time in Thailand now. Great to see your channel.

Nice video Chris, seem like a really nice area. Hey was that a small heater at 16:34 and if so can you post a link to it? 👍
@explore_x_3 ай бұрын
@@godsbackcountryoverland Thank you! Appreciate you watching. Yes, it is a mini electric heater. My goal was for it to take the chill out of the air and it will do that. Ultimately I wanted it to kick on and off throughout the night to maintain a designated temperature. Believe it is to small though and would probably stay on constantly but need to do more testing. Will update as I develop it. Or may need a larger heater to quickly heat things up then shut off. Work in progress! Link below.
Sorry, thought I added link to heater earlier. Here it is. It does take the chill out of the air but when it gets really cold it may not kick off is what I am thinking. Will do more testing. Perhaps a larger version would work better but I was trying to find one with very low power consumption. a.co/d/1sYrgbH

@@explore_x_ Thanks I have an enclosed insulated cab with a fire place, but this could work for my type of set up when I don’t use the fire place as long as the power draw is not to much.
@explore_x_3 ай бұрын
@@godsbackcountryoverland It pulls about 150 watts. Not bad for small spaces with mild temps. I like the sound of your fireplace!
