Love the glasses. My family is in Vancouver but I live in Australia. It’s so easy to get my husband to come with me for endless cups of tea with my sisters and my mother and visit many relatives every 2 years because we always go to Whistler, summer or winter. BUT we haven’t been to Capilano to see the lights. COVID willing, we will this year. Love your videos.

You know what's crazy... I live in Vancouver and visited the CSB multiple times when I was younger... but never at Christmastime. My family would usually bring visitors but I never realized that was only in the summer or spring. I'll definitely try to go before Canyon Lights is over! P.S. I was planning to do my first solo trip this year but life kinda threw a wrench in those plans (2 family members are currently doing chemo). I watched a couple of your solo travel videos and I'm hoping I'll be able to make a solo trip a reality in 2020. Hope you had a great time! Also thought the DJI Osmo footage looked nice :)

I went on a solo trip to Vancouver last June, and had the best time too! I loved the drive up to Whistler, stopping by on the way to Squamish was great, it's a really cute little town, lots of little shops and cafés! Steveston is also a must, just south of Richmond. If you watched the TV show Once Upon a Time, it's where they set up the stage for the town of Storybrooke! It's a cute little fishing village, lots of little shops and restaurants and a few nice waterfront promenades and parks. Banff and Lake Louise I visited on a trip to Calgary, the drive alone across the Rockies is worth it! Those icy blue water creeks, it's just wonderful in the spring! I mean all of Canada is awesome all year long! I'm near Montreal, in the St-Lawrence Valley, and it's a real dream, it's like winter wonderland right now, sights for days!!! Sometimes I wish I was a youtuber just so I could share those views with the world! Oh well, maybe in 2020, in the meantime my shitty Insta will have to do...! lol WIshing you happy holidays and all, may 2020 be full of open-hearted discoveries and fun adventures!

Hi I'm from Hawaii and we just returned from Vancouver a week ago. Whistler was beautiful! Vancouver was awesome, we went to the places you did and what a treat! It was a little cold for this Hawaii girl but would do it again in a heartbeat; but, maybe in spring.

August or September are your best bets for warm weather here in Vancouver! Spring is often rainy and cool. And fingers crossed that we have a vaccine by then! Something to hope and plan for.

Van Duden gardens in Vancouver at night at Christmas is worth seeing as well! Right by the suspension bridge is Edgemont Village which is worth a visit as well like 5 mins away! You should also look into visiting an island like Salt Spring (very sleep but they have an art gallery tour you do yourself where you drive around the island) or go to Tofino (surfer town so cute with great shops and the beaches are cool to walk on) on Vancouver island for a trip! Both Would be a 2-3 day trip though.

GO TO WHISTLER IN THE SUMMER!! I can't say it loud enough. It's so much better than the winter, in my opinion. Less pretentious people and such a chill vibe. There's so much to do as well. Some of my favourites are: kayaking, white water rafting, renting electric bikes, hiking, Peak 2 Peak gondola, ziplining, etc.

Do you know the suspension bridge in Stanley Park? It's worth seeing for it's own beauty.; take a bike trip around the greenway from the Vancouver causeway that connects the city to the park, then a trail up to the suspension bridge inside the park. Make a day of it. (thanks for your videos, Allison).
