A trick we do on boats is to boil a thermos full of boiling water in the morning and you have hot water pre-made throughout the day, or if your on passage, you do on before your shift/watch and it's ready for drinks or meals, really great habit.

A bit late to be much use, but usually the Oil Light indicates low oil pressure, not oil level. You could have loads of oil but if it can't build pressure then it could be a problem with the oil pump, filter, sensor, etc Fun vid!

Loving your videos dude. Only recently came across your channel, inspiring me to have another attempt at van life. I bought a T4 spent over a year kitting it out, day -1 of my road trip to Albania the engine blew up - 8 miles from home. Devistated and I need to get out and explore the UK more. Maybe this is the insperation needed to get my arse into gear, sort my finances out and buy a caddy. Keep up the great work.

One little tip, carbon monoxide is heavier than air and wil thus sink to the bottom of the van, that's theoretically where you should put the CO detector (close to the floor.

Another fantastic video. I’ve also got a Caddy 2013. You can get a glove box lid to fit your van. It’s around £50 but makes such a difference! If you go to a website called Vanx you can get them from there. I’ve got cargo nets in my van for storage on the sides. Very handy.

@@Adz yeah it’s a nice little place. About 10 min from there if you had stayed on the main road, you would have come to a truck stop/service kind of area called Cartgate. Has cafe/toilets and you could park up overnight no worries.

I bought myself a Ridgemonkey last week after seeing yours, i was expecting it to be bigger having assumed you had the smaller one but I realised when i got it that mine is the same as yours. I was annoyed that Ridgemonkey give the dimensions of the pan but they include the handle sockets & the hinges 😏.

Yeah I was always hoping they’d make a bigger one. Well they do make a bigger one in a different style but you can’t flip it because it’s the one with different sections in one of the pans. Yeah it was good even with the bad weather! I haven’t really used it as a main heater because it’s only 80w so it doesn’t heat the van up much. But what it does so is takes the edge off and stops the temperature dropping too low. It’s a nice little extra but definitely not a main heater

@@Adz It´s total confuse. The Oil ist not so expensive. But our petrol and diesel prices are now most expensive in Europe and ever. We have three taxes at our prices. And some tax, for these taxes, too. (Germany) = we pay tax for the taxes. My last income via Job was 1.080 pounds net. per month - for 50 % part time job. I tried to earn more, but no chance. USA - petrol and diesel cheaper. But less social wellfare. Instead more firearms and more jails. Everybody needs a pistol or revolver at home.

@@Adz I wish to live in a country, who is easier there. Not so difficult and expensive. ie the german MOT-It is so difficult and expensive. (90 pounds.) And what all needed, until it is ok. noisy wiper blades = no MOT left windows lifter not working = no MOT All brakes working well, but not enough power = no MOT. AGR-Vent in the exhaust tube not clean enough = no MOT. I went to our MOT with scratching drum brakes. To present enough brake power for MOT. After MOT i tuned it back to normal mode.

I had a car when 1st bought mine but after a while I thought what was the point! So my van is the daily drive as well. I spent ages researching different vans and the caddy maxi was definitely the best choice for me. I sometimes wish I had more space but overall I prefer having a smaller van. Good luck with yours!

When I’m driving it’s usually the edutige etm-008 plugged into the GoPro mate. It’s directional so keeps background sound down. A rode video micro would probably be better but the edutige is really small

I show it in my van build video mate. I have a leisure battery in the back and that’s charged with a solar panel on the roof, and when I drive the vans battery charges it too

@@Adz there are better gyms in the town and its worth a little visit to the surrounding area , Glastonbury tor isn't far away and some nice beaches over the border in Dorset, you can also do the coast road down to Paignton...........if you guys meet again
