That engine noise glitch (the one where there is NO engine noise) has been around since Direct Hit, I've noticed MANY times since that update that sometimes some vehicles will make no engine noise for quite a time.

It feels like it's even worse now, between the two extremes of engine sounds. On one hand you've got the terrible sound mixing where your engine alone makes it sound like there's 3 other tanks next to you, and I swear I can actually hear different parts of the sounds in different locations. And on the other hand, you've got 60% of thr enemy tanks making ZERO noise (neither engine nor track) until they've already killed you and suddenly in the kill cam there's sound. Too many tanks have snuck up on me recently where I normally would have been likely to hear and anticipate them

It happens to me usually atleast once a game. I think it goes away later in the game when everything finally loads. It also doesnt help that my computer isnt the best but its decent. Also direct shit noise

It sounds like it's coming from somewhere else. Particularly annoying when you're near the crest of a hill or the corner of a wall, then it makes you feel like there's someone right behind the hill/wall.

Its either no sound until they kill you, making everything (but planes) sound the same, or someone who close to you sound like they're up your ass but there're nowhere near you. I had games with Pz4s sounding like M4s and some low tirs sound like they have a turbine engine.

game bug left the game's audio not capable of playing the necessary number of separate audio tracks. If the limit is 20 audio tracks, you might have 1 per tank/plane, 1 for explosions, etc. If the number required exceeds the limit, you simply won't hear the extra ones. Simple problem, but the developers are russian i guess... hold no hope

i have a idea for the tanks that shoukd be added to war thunder: The citroen 2cv GHAN1 it has a 20mm mg151 autocannon so perhaps a decent low tier french aa and it also was outfitted with the 75mm hesh / he slinging recoilles rifle ( perhaps maybe a good 4.0/5.0 td because of great speed)

Mephisto is *alright* at the end of the day, it's not spectacular but it has a niche and it's nice to have a vehicle like that instead of constantly teetering between useless and broken. It's even appropriately placed in terms of BR unlike a certain other wheeled addition of this patch. G6 is a real head scratcher with that 7.0 rating

I just wish it could shoot on the move. They even gave it a stabilizer so you can still guide on the move, but you have to stop first, then shoot, then drive on. If I had a dollar for every time I tried to trash some kid near point blank with a well aimed flick, just to be met with “Stop the vehicle to fire the missile” because I was moving at like 5 mph I’d have at least 6 dollars

If you want another "situational" vehicle, try the Khrizantema. If you get good at the radar guided missile gimmick, you can use it to outright cancel enemy mistakes like pushing through open fields.

It should also be noted that the Memphistos missile are the same way bugged/protected by the Snail like the IT-1. The Ammo in the launcher doesn't explode when hit and you don't lose the loaded missiles if the launcher get's destoyed. Unlike pretty much all other vehicles.

Hey spookerson, I know this will sound as annoying as all the other comments asking "hey do a video on X tank" but if you get the time can you check the Olifant Mk 2, it gets gen 3 thermals for both gunner/commander and it gets the dm43 at 9.0 and it has only been going to lower bRs since its release. ALOT of content creators say its bad yet its the only tank I've gotten 2 nukes in.

You should play the ZT3A2, it’s actually good and I suck at the game, it gets 1000mm of pen at 8.3

Pen isn't everything though past a certain point. Since it doesn't see composite armor, having that kind of performance is mostly irrelevant at 8.3. It's also on a terrible chassis for that BR and has no backup weapons except a little 7.62 MG that's not going to do much. The Ratel 20 is a far better vehicle, and the ZT3 should go down in BR.

My only complaint for this vehicle after playing it 2 solid months is that its modeled incorrectly in game. Just a 5 minute google search showed me it should have a 320HP engine, better reverse speed, and the ability to fire while in water (splash guards don't even deploy, glitch?), and has a top speed of 110kp/h(68mp/h) that is easily attainable on roads. Supposed to have gen. 2 thermals I think and is .50 cal resistant as its based off the VAB. And can tank larger MGs like the 14.5 and 20mm at range. Still fun to play though, can over pressure a M1 or Leo2 anywhere from the front.

I love the Mephisto for one reason: It is named after one of the German devils (Mephistofoles) in the legend of Faust, which is funny enough. But coincidentally one of the first ever German tanks, an A7V was also named Mephisto and was captured by Australians at the battle of Villers-Bretonneux, which is now one of the last surviving A7Vs in the world. Never thought I'd see the day the French named something after not only a German legend, but after a German tank that was involved in a war on their home soil.

I would like the M901A3, but I would also like to see a Canadian M113 TLAV. I believe it had a version with TOWs, but I could be wrong. The basic one just had a .50 M2 and a 7.62 C6 in the turret, but it has an upgraded engine, transmission/steering gear, and new tracks.

They changed the audio and still didn't fix the glitches, they still haven't fixed ghost rounds which has gotten me killed or cockblocked me from at least getting a kill trade many times, and now there's even visual glitches when I change from 3rd person to binoculars or scope and suddenly there's a bunch of tracks glitching in and out of existence around me

In my opinion I think that the MESPISTO is not a very effective vehicle, Especially in CQC, mostly because of the low armor and mobility. Yes, it can definitely do damage, but in all situations it is not effective because of the slow rate of fire, slow velocity, and low armor. Given that anything has any type of reactive armor it basically becomes useless. Overall it wouldn’t be good compared to other vehicles at the BR, and it is definitely not a good help for the team. But I believe that it is a very fun but annoying vehicle to play. But I definitely didn’t expect to see so many in games.

What kills me as a actual driver of this vehicle (not the rocket launcher variant though) it's that it is called a VAB and not a VCAC. I reckon it is supposed to stand as "Véhicule de Combat Anti Char /Antitank fighting vehicle" and is probably a mix-up with a company that was called CAC (Compagnie AntiChar / Antitank Company) and it's ACTUAL designation that stands for "Véhicule de l'Avant Blindé" (Foward Armored Vehicle). It's really not that hard to get it right. EDIT: Also, I'm wondering how the hell the driver is supposed to see where he's going because of the closed flaps on the front that covers the windshield.

Yeah the driver window covers on the VAB's in game have always confused me, how are they supposed to look through? I've seen the inside of a regular VAB and unless the SANTAL and MEPHISTO have some sort of screen with a camera outside it would be impossible to drive
