I have found that SAP is the primary round you should bring as it fuses rather early and acts as effectively as HE most of the time when it fails to pen. It also doesn't fuse on bushes so you won't have a Seversk-13 moment again

A really fun vehicle is the M2A2. It's a 50 cal on a much, much faster Stuart chassis at 1.0.This means that you can run around and shred everything without the disadvantage of having to reload all the time, and you can easily get away from any danger.

by teh way, the S35 is an absolute menace at 1.7. It's mobile, has neutral steering so you can counter the slow turrent rotation pretty easily, and it has the B1 bis turret + 40mm of armor sloped on both the front and the sides. It's effectively a low BR tiger. Angle it, you get 15 kill games, don't angle it anf you get bonked.

"how is a b1 easier to kill than an S35" Simple, the engine bay on the S35 is compartmentalised from the crew area whereas the B1 has the crew compartment extending into the engine bay area. So when you overpressured the engine on the s35, all you damaged was the engine and the pressure could not get to the crew. When you penetrated the top rear deck on the B1, you not only penetrated into the engine, but also the crew section and the pressure extended to the forward compartment and killed the whole crew.

One of my favorite tank destroyers, because it’s just over powered. That machine gunner in the back is helpful if like most of the crew is dead, because he can replace gunner of driver. The fact that he’s in the back means he’s basically untouchable from many shells (besides over pressure).
