IRL, novice tankers move up in ranks, and along with it their position. the lowest rank of a 19k officer would be positioned in Driver position first. Climbing his rank also meant that he switches his station - from driver, then to loader, then to gunner, then finaly to TC. TC would have the best mechanical experience comapred to their other crew members onboard the said tanks and this concept is pretty universal in any military vehicle trainings all over the world lol.

@@KorianHUN He is trained on it, he's able to physically drive the tank and knows where the controls are. But he's realistically bad at it. Some countries may start everyone as drives some might not, even if one does, it's been a long time since you did the job, you will be worse at it.

@@tetronaut88 Warthunder will say technically it's Austrian and Austria is closer to Germany so Germany gets it. That was the reason they were going to give Germany the SK105 but French mains complained so we got the SK105 and they got the JAPZka2(just a copy pasta)

i heard you hate british vehicles, vehicles that do no damage and vehicles that are basically CAS magnets, so i think you should play the ratel 90; a gigantic british light tank with no armor, that only gets 90mm HEAT with a 7 second aced reload and that somehow always gets strafed by planes before it's even allowed to leave spawn (day 72)

Can even face hit the Maus if you know how to aim and it's just so satisfying xD. The Ratel 20 is.. okay imo, but the Ratel 90 is a monster in the right areas.

The reason Germany stopped putting armour on their vehicles is because the thought was that with the advent of HEAT and APFSDS being able to go through an incredible amount of armour, armour was considered mostly obsolete and so they decided to focus more on mobility.

it wasn't just because of HEAT potentially making all steel armour obsolete, it was also just the fact that even useful armour becomes obsolete very quickly. its cheaper to keep a mobile tank relatively mobile than keeping an armoured tank relatively armoured, as mobility tech increases slower than the armour/firepower arms race. its why the primary factor of the leopard 2 getting good armour was the fact it didn't sacrifice much tactical mobility for it (and even then until the cold war reduced budgets they also wanted a lightly armoured tank for strategic mobility)

This reminds me of those Tanki players who put the massive artillery cannon "Magnum" on one of the light hulls, and then were very surprised when the recoil flipped them over. Because in Tanki, you can use whatever turret/hull combo you want. Want a massive minigun on a hull that barely moves, but is nearly indestructible? You can do that. Want a turret that shoots a blast of ice at close range that slows down your enemy's movement on a super-fast, lightly armored hull that hovers above the ground? Go for it. You want a turret that launches a volley of 4 guided missiles on a medium hull that splits the difference in armor and mobility? Not a problem. Too bad the game devs ruined it through terrible gameplay choices, PTW, and over-monetization, it used to be my favorite game

Hey Spookston, I suggest you try the Type 10 / TKX, it's pretty cool to use the suspension to shoot over hills, and you have 615mm pen APFSDS with 4 seconds reload, plus it can reach 70 km/h reversing.

Spooks btw gaijin added a feature where if your crew is more hurt than a light orange they will heal untill a light orange which is the maximum the crew can go and still be at top tier performance without starting to lose performance so basically you can heal to top tier performance or full health

2:17 the delay is real... but it happens to me sometimes too sometimes it says "Critical Hit" and 0.5s later "Target Destroyed"... it happens much more with apfsds because the dart travels so far inside the tank and destroys more modules on its way

Daily fun fact: Before the Chuchill was developed, there was a prototype known as the A20, which was essentially built with the expectation that WW2 would be fought like WW1 had been. It was nicknamed 'Char de forteresse' or 'Fortress Tank'. It had a hull similar to the Churchill but a bit larger and a Matilda II turret. 2 were built as prototypes. The war office ordered 100 but later canceled the order. None saw active service.
