@ I’m gonna be honest, the armour is useless, it’s only the front plate there’s 0 on the sides, and the robot turret is useless, you hit the turret all the ammo in the tank detonates (you get to keep 2 unless spikes in the hull) all the auto cannon ammo however is in the turret. Not to mention it’s soooooo fucking slow

since you said the ratel 90 wasn't bad, you should play the objectively awful ratel version; the ratel 20. it has the same bad mobility as the 90, but with the same weapons as the marder IFV, which doesn't sound bad at first, until you realise you're expected to fight king tigers and jumbo pershings with 7 slow moving ATGMs and an autocannon that can't even pen a panther's side (day 23)

it was really fun when it had proxy, but despite having cannons capable of sidepenning a decent amount of vehicles (especially now it's 7.7 (effectively 8.0 because there is no longer a swedish 7.7 lineup) instead of 8.7) it's never been good at fighting tanks due to being pretty damn sluggish the proxy was what made it good because it was great for dealing with any reckless aircraft

@@snowthearcticfox1 Sweden on top and pre-top tier is really strong in GRB, has been for years now. The only thing this nation lacks is a decent top-tier heli, because the AH-64A is a bit too weak. Strv 122 was literally the best top-tier tank for a couple of years, and now it is the second best one after the 2A7. It has a 10.7 lineup of 3 2A4's (even Germany doesn't get that), amazing 90105 at 10.3, nice setup at 8.3, broken USH with laser rockets and a lot of fun vehicles at lower BR's. How the fuck is this a "suffering"? What are you talking about?

it should have IRST and a laser range finder, and as the 2A42 is a slovakian made ones, it has the capability to use the M929 APFSDS, but i'm not quite sure if it's used on the BMP-2MD IRL. So it could be like the BMP-2M but without the missiles if Gaijin chose to do so

The bmp2ms apfsds in game IS mecars m929 apfsds. 1-1 stats with mecars round, but compare to the little info we have on the russian apfsds it doesnt match.

The 2A42 is quite accurate in real life, provided it gets regular proper maintenance and quality parts Russia does not do neither so they made the 2A72 which is an incredibly simplified version you can just keep using till the barrel falls out

2A72 got fewer parts, but not exactly simplified. If anything, 2A42 does NOT use reciprocating barrel, trading recoil for accuracy. 2A72 does, however, resulting in limited ROF (Can only cycle it so hard before things go flying everywhere), but providing less vibrations (That happens when you cut your effective recoil by 65%) being able to be mounted as coaxial gun (BMP-3), on light armored vehicles (BTR-82A) and even some MRAPs (As part of Universal MB2 and BM-30-D "Spitsa" (Spoke) weapon stations).

It looks amazing on paper, it takes the great autocannon of the 9040 and pairs it with ATGMs. In reality though, you only get a low speed stabilizer and the launcher will deploy by the time the battle is over. Not a horrible vehicle but it can be quite unfun sometimes.

Day 50 of telling spookston to play the IT1. its a ATGM launcher on the t62 chassis, it has decent-ish mobility, the turret is squished. You can hide behind cover and shoot ATGM over the cover like a gremlin and you overpressure tanks (tho it can be rare, but it does happen without you realizing) and its MG is really werid. Also it has a cool reload animation.

2 things: war thunder does not simulate damage over time. So, 25mm in real life could tear away at the armor components with subsequent shots. But, more importantly, it matters a lot more in real life when your tracks, optics, cameras, and other external components get damaged. Same with the A-10. In game it’s decently effective at doing mobility damage, but sometimes struggles to actually get kills. In the game, getting your engine knocked out is mildly annoying. In real life, having everything on the outside of your tank reduced to shrapnel, and losing your engine is a much bigger deal. Not to mention the psychological terror and effect of being pounded by an autocannon or 2.

T-72, T-80, and T-90 tanks have a rather serious flaw in the fact that the horizontal turret drive seems to be very prone to malfunction even from hits that do not defeat the armor either jamming it or sending it into a perpetual spin if the turret was rotating when it was hit. I think there would be some rather serious complaints from the player base if suddenly a non-penetrating hit had a high chance of doing that to said tanks in game.
