IRL, novice tankers move up in ranks, and along with it their position. the lowest rank of a 19k officer would be positioned in Driver position first. Climbing his rank also meant that he switches his station - from driver, then to loader, then to gunner, then finaly to TC. TC would have the best mechanical experience comapred to their other crew members onboard the said tanks and this concept is pretty universal in any military vehicle trainings all over the world lol.

@@KorianHUN He is trained on it, he's able to physically drive the tank and knows where the controls are. But he's realistically bad at it. Some countries may start everyone as drives some might not, even if one does, it's been a long time since you did the job, you will be worse at it.

@@tetronaut88 Warthunder will say technically it's Austrian and Austria is closer to Germany so Germany gets it. That was the reason they were going to give Germany the SK105 but French mains complained so we got the SK105 and they got the JAPZka2(just a copy pasta)

Spookston was talking about shooting the tank at 1:56 that shooting a T-54 for in the fuel tank is more reliable than the ammo. However if you look at the kill feed and the time stamp that is a T-55 which are virtually the same as the T-55 except for a few difference, such as the ready rack being in the fuel tank as a form of wet stowage, you can also see in the kill cam it was an ammo explosion not fuel. (Yes, I am very fun at parties, why do you ask?)

Funny thing, Spookston. The T-54/55 has ammo stored in the gaps of the forward fuel tank. That's why it's so easy to kill them by hitting the fuel tank.

The df105 is fantastic... marder chassis and a turret and autoloader with a 105mm that fires a heat that is an atom bomb And more up the tree, you have the TAM... another marded chassis vehicle... with a turret and a 105, no autoloader but a stab and a laser rangefinder and apfsds... its just fantastic, proud to be an argentine playing the german tech tree... i feel like i am at home

The reason you overpressure sometimes and not other times is because HEAT uses up its filler the more armor it goes through. Thin armor means only a little of the filler is used up on the armor, and a lot is left over for a high chance of overpressure. Vs if it just barely gets through a thick mantlet, it will only do pinpoint damage right behind it.

That german light tank reminds me, what happened to the german army thanks to bureaucracy. In 2005 some office babysitters got the brilliant idea to remove the german army elite force, the armored recon corps. Now there is only the army recon corp, which is just a shadow of the once military elite.

Having played Nuclear Option a bunch, which often involves dropping 1.5kt gravity bombs from subsonic jets, if it has an impact delay fuse it's fine(tm) in NO you also frequently drop 250kt weapons from the same, subsonic, attacker; a 16 second delay is more than long enough to outrun the blast wave
