"Ghostly Carousel" - Department 56 Halloween Snow Village Review

Today I have another retired carousel review - the Deparment 56 Ghostly Carousel, part of the Halloween Snow Village line.
It was released in 2002 and retired in 2005. It remains a very sought after piece by collectors.
In this video I also compare it to the Lemax Spooky Town Scare-Ousel, which is another retired and coveted carnival ride piece (that I also just happened to review!).

Great review and really liked the article you wrote for new collectors i just started last year with mad pumpkin patch and ghost around and this year have a lot more was wondering if later on in the season you can do a video on how you set things up and hide wires and etc thanks

I would love to know how to get the top off of one of these to access the motor and drive. All I read is "It's difficult".

Very nice piece, but I think I like the Lemax one better. To me this one doesn't really look like a Carousel as you mentioned the characters on the inside don't look ride able like a real Carousel does. But this is very detailed and nice for sure!!

That's my main issue. It doesn't really look like a ride-able carousel to me. It's still a massive awesome looking piece, but if I had to choose I'd rather get one of the Lemax ones.

I think Lemax has much better products. But this is pretty cool.

I'm split as to which I like more as both brands have certain strengths, but I'm definitely with Lemax as far as carnival rides go.

Although I think lemon does has some cool things I also have a soft spot in my head for department 56 Halloween stuff and I feel like the department stuff is better made the only thing that sucks about them is that mainly earlier 2000s stuff the motors in the moving ones are very cheap and bad but I still love them and all my department 56 things are early 2000s and I have the ghostly carousel and it along with the escape from the crypt are my favorites
