In the realm of probiotic supplements, soil-based and spore-based probiotics are garnering increasing attention for their unique properties and potential health benefits. Soil-based probiotics, often abbreviated as SBOs, are derived from the natural organisms found in soil.
These beneficial microbes have coexisted with humans for millennia, traditionally entering our systems through food grown in rich, unprocessed soil. Common strains include species of Bacillus, such as Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus coagulans. The primary benefit of soil-based and spore-based probiotics is their significant contribution to gut health. The first key advantage is their enhanced survival rate. Their core strength lies in their ability to survive the digestive journey, reaching the intestines where they can colonize and multiply. This ensures that the supplements are more effective. Moreover, SBOs and spore probiotics introduce a diverse range of beneficial bacteria to the microbiome, enhancing overall gut flora balance. Diversity is crucial for a resilient, well-functioning digestive system.

Recently began taking Spore Based probiotics for gut inflammation that was not responding to other types of probiotics. What an amazing difference in my regularity and energy levels. I feel better than ever! I was wondering about using Sacchromyces boulardii along with the spored based probiotics, pros cons or even necessary? I have alot about using together and wanted to get your feedback. Thannk You!

Thank you. I didn't realize all the benefits of soil-based probiotics. I was prescribed them about 6 years ago from a functional Dr. They wotked great, and I still use them on occasion.

You can’t always base your progress on how you feel. Probiotics alone are not going to fix a gut that’s been wrecked for 20+ years. Sone probiotic companies over promise and under deliver.

I tried the these- made me so bloated. Should I half the dose and move up slowly??

Any time you take probiotics this can happen. As the microbiome shifts (for better or worse) you can experience changes in bowel movements, bloating etc. I recommend going slow and if you still experience problems, consider working with a certified functional medicine doctor. Good luck
