If they confirm that a lot of the illnesses he listed at the start are from LG and aren't actually illnesses in their own right, they'd not be able to sell us and treat us for lots of different things. Ie, medications for joint pain, medication for diarrhoea, medication for skin issues, etc, etc, etc. You know they ALWAYS have our best interests at the forefront of their considerations...... 😂😂😂😂😂

Hi! Great video! I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis in 2019. I completely changed my diet and also did a zoomer on leaky gut and everything I was allergic too. It’s been a long process but last year I was told by my rheumatologist that my inflammation markers were all normal and I did not have RA any longer. I’m 56 and never have beer healthier. I will never eat gluten again…or any processed foods. I also buy my meat from a special farm that animals are treated humanely and not feed antibiotics or corn. I just did another wheat zoomer last week to check my gut out again. I’m hoping my leaky gut is gone. Remember you are what you eat.

When I asked if I'm so healthy why do I feel like crap. He had the nerves to ask me if I've ever been treated for mental illness. Then he and his staff started talking to me and treating me like I was crazy. Ten minutes earlier they treated me like a normal person, but because I had the nerves to question him very bad medical opinion I was now insane. Careful with fermented food ! On top of my leaky gut symptoms I developed an intolerance for histamine and eating/drinking fermented food/beveries put me in anaphylactic shocks a few times before I realized the link between the two… Turns out that the enzymes that break down histamine in food are produced by our gut and if your gut, like mine, is not functioning properly, you might be defficient in these enzymes… Hence too much histamine, hence severe allergic-like reactions to food ! Stay safe, go slowly with changes in your diet and not any reaction !

"Stress" is the most irritating thing I constantly see/hear listed. First, it's listed in every list for every problem in every location possible. Then people act like stress is something you can just eliminate from your life like carbs. You can exercise, meditate, pray, whatever and that's often not enough to eliminate or even reduce stress. Telling people to get rid of stress is like telling an alcoholic, "well just don't drink". I workout and go on walks, hiking in the woods, camping, all kinds of stuff and it makes no difference in how internally strung I am or helping my brain to shut off. The effect fades within a very short period of stopping. The #1 thing I think I've never seen mentioned regarding poor sleep is a big issue with many people that go undiagnosed until far too late: sleep apnea. Everyone mentions the same things you did and no one ever suggests, when those don't work, to get a sleep study done. That aside, as far as a bad gut...only 1 thing worked for me when all of this failed as I did trial and error over years: The carnivore diet. 100% perfect bowels and no acid reflux. It was just a mental asswhip to eat that way. I accepted an ok gut to eat vegetables and carbs (potatoes, beans) again. Fiber is still my enemy.
@davidg241
@davidg241 9 ай бұрын
I’m doing carnivore now. Been two days, my stomach pains are still present however they have lessened. I don’t feel bloated or gassy, I haven’t taken a solid dump in the last two days either , just minor but I feel like trying to eat vegetables and other stuff is gonna bloat the heck out of me and make things worse. I have back pains all over as well but it’s much more tolerable in the last two days. Working on sleeping better without a gummy. Currently trying to find something I can add to the carnivore diet that will help me use the bathroom better. Fiber foods seem to make me feel worse so I need to find something else to help. But so far I’m eating two meals (breakfast, later lunch). I try to stop around 6 pm so I can let my gut settle and do its things. So far it’s a slow process but the pain in my stomach and back and also the brain fog I been having seems to be slowly going. Crossing fingers 🙏🏼 and I pray a lot lol cheers

@Swearengen1980
@Swearengen1980 9 ай бұрын
@@davidg241 It's a very slow process. Why do people think completely changing your diet is going to happen in a few days? Many people report terrible diarrhea for the first week. It can take a month to rebalance your body. You don't need to add anything, just suck it up and let nature run its course. If it's not better in 2 weeks, your ratio may be wrong. I didn't do good on a super high fat diet like some of the channels suggest and I put in more lean meat. The same ratios don't work for everyone despite what these channels try to sell you. I'm also the same in that fiber wrecks me. On carnivore or not, I avoid unnecessary fiber.

You are sooo correct. No diet exercise any physical action can cure an issue if the stressor is still in your life. How you think and what you perceive about things is so much more important than diet and exercise as it can allow the body to truly go into a parasympathetic state to then relax and heal. You cannot heal when you are in fight or flight mode. Period. Full stop. Doesn’t matter the cleanest diet or exercise regime.

Wondering also with the person above on your protocol….
@cosmokramer3107
@cosmokramer3107 Ай бұрын
@@amandabutler5021 In my case, I found that a good brand of aloe vera in liquid form + MCT oil (Flora) in coffee + L-glutamine 20 g/day (fermented formulation) + L-glycine 10 g/day + collagen peptides + psyllium husk for fiber + a bunch of keystone probiotics once per day (the ones Dr William Davis suggests, L Reuteri, L Gasseri, L Coagulants strains, I also added Saccaromyces Boulardii) and ingest them either as pills or after making yogurts with these using the Ultimate yogurt maker, but also using the probiotics tablet that you let melt in your mouth as L Reuteri is useful in the mouth as it ends up travelling to the stomach and small intestine ( I was working with the assumption of SIBO/SIFO ). I also switched to a keto diet 3 months ago (beef, lamb, duck, bacon, eggs, butter, extra virgin olive oil first cold press, and only bitter veggies like brussel sprouts or radicchio, also asparagus, but nothing containing high amounts of oxalates) for weight loss using a restricted eating window (from 8 am to 2 pm) but I can never stick to it as I am not a morning person and never hungry until 1 pm. And yet, I still lost 15.4 lbs (7 kg) doing only a little mild exercise. And intermittent fasting, as in about 18 to 24 hrs fasting everyday depending how early or late I would eat my one meal a day (like I said, I should start eating by 8 am but I am never hungry this early, coffee also suppresses appetite, so there's that). I'll briefly explain the reasoning. Over the past year, I was drinking too much beer and wine after the work day was over. So after years of drinking alcohol everyday (normal amounts, not alcoholic), then increasing that amount in the past year, then leaky gut started. Alcohol devastates the gut flora. So putting 2 and 2 together, reading Dr William Davis's book, researching and all that, I figured that the first step consists in rebuilding my gut flora. So I quit drinking alcohol overnight to help the liver and gut repair themselves. Started the keto diet with the supplements mentioned above. Result: the bleeding almost subsided, so not 100% healed like this other person who claims to have done it in 3 weeks. Not sure how anyone can do it in 3 weeks especially if the tight junctions in the intestinal walls are loose, the mucosal barrier gone or almost gone, and the good probiotic bacteria depleted. Regarding the latter, one thing to avoid at all cost are anti-biotics since they kill the good bacteria, but also berberine because of its anti-bacterial properties. Some people take it to help with diabetes, but would be better to switch to a keto or carnivore diet, especially since vegetable cellulose cannot be digested. Hope this helps.

Brain fog digestive issues. I’ve already been intermittent fasting Monday to Friday. Drastically lowered to almost eliminated processed food and focused on eating whole foods. Also just now incorporating fermented foods but this is very new to me. I strength train average 4 times a week. But barely get any cardio. Going to start walking to work a couple days a week to meet those targets. Going to add a probiotic supplement this weekend. Hoping that with my IF routine. Probiotic supplementation, Increased exercise and my cleaner diet (which was god awful prior, and I’m certain the reason I’m in this mess) I can turn this around. If 3 months doesn’t result in significant change I guess I’m going elimination diet.

Subscribed! This video is one of the best health-related videos I have seen in many months. I conduct research and follow many doctors, but this doctor presents ample science-based evidence that is important to me. I eat healthier than anyone I know or have studied. No process foods period. All organic, raw, sprouted, farm-raised, 100% grass-fed/finished, wild-caught, fermented, no GMOs, no steroids, no antibiotics, I exercise, practice IF, no meds, no alcohol, blah blah blah, but at the same time, I am noticing a gradual decline in both my sleep and feeling of well-being. Dr. Ruscio pointed out the potential problematic concerns that may result from a FODMAP diet. This gives me great hope, so I will do everything I can to reduce or gradually eliminate those foods from my diet to see if there is an improvement. This makes a lot of sense to me. Thank you Dr. Ruscio.

I am a 52 yr old female who was diagnosed with hashi's at 13. I have had 2 cesareans and 2 vbac's. I breastfed all of my children. At 45, I hit menapause and the floodgates opened. I was diagnosed with fibro, chronic inflammation, diverticulosis, degenerative disc in lower back and base of neck. Allergy tests revealed i am allergic to everything except birch and oak trees. I have been on xolair for several years now. I developed high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I had to have all my teeth pulled and it took a year and a half due to my reaction to lidocaine. I had to take alot of antibiotics during this time. I have been fighting this systemic illness for 7 yrs now. I have done extensive research and cut gluten and most dairy from my diet. The first thing you should do is cut way back on wheat and stop buying US wheat as it is all dried with glyphosate. They started this practice right about the mid 90's when all the digestive issues started. As usual America does not care about the cause so they just labelled the symptoms as diseases. I buy my flour from Italy and make all my own wheat based items from scratch. Pasta, flour tortillas, bread, biscuits, and so on. The problem with American medicine is that when you go to the DR they never, ever, ever, ever, ever ask you what you diet consists of. Instead they whip out their prescription pad and write, write, write. They also get kickbacks form the pharmaceutical industry so it is a great incentive for them to write prescriptions. The digestive wall need single particles to easily pass through it. Wheat does not break down into single particles so it causes digestive issues. Add to that the gluten which binds particles together and have gluten binding multiples together that need to pass through the digestive wall. This causes inflammation and all kinds of issues. Meats and veggies for health. Leave the grains alone and you will feel much, much better.

I'm a retired engineer with continual gastric distress and the "treatments" are overwhelming. I have had multiple endoscopies, X rays, MRI's, Paleo Reset diets (with low Fodmap), exercise like a madman, meditate, cleared for SIBO, C Diff, and H Pylori multiple times. Eliminated most seed oils, artificial sweeteners, dairy, and gluten. My Gastro put me on a PPI due to reflux and Barrett's Esophagus. Have taken a boatload of every gut supplement that is that latest thing including a ton of high quality probiotics. Also was diagnosed with PTSD so there is a stress component and the elusive brain-gut interaction. Like chasing a GD ghost. 5 years of being sick. Got 3 months of "wellness" after one reset diet. Repeated the same reset diet and zero improvement. Did not want to take the PPI but my stomach pain and bloating improved for about 6 months. Then it all came back again although it is about 75% as bad as 5 years ago. Lost as a ball in high weeds. Guess I will try another reset diet. Perhaps this Doc can help me. I'm holding out hope that I can improve before I expire.

@@mirandasullivan-selfempower , Hello Miranda. Well, I have what I believe is a breakthrough. I went to see a Functional Medicine Doc that I have seen previously. He had previosly put me on a Paleo Reset diet with lots of supplements that would go a month. Fixed my stomach issues for about 2-3 months but then it came back. A second reset did nothing. He then suggested that I had PTSD (I do) and that we needed to treat that. I could see him for an hour session of Cranial Sacral therapy and he could resolve my pain for a few hours but it would quickly return. Psyciatrists had me on Klonopin which did relax my stomcah a little bit but did not resolve the bloating, pain, belching , and IBS. Based on these internet Docs I tried Low Fodmap (again) with lots of supplements. Dropped all dairy, guten, and artificial sweeteners. Starting taking magnesium citrate. All bowel movements became perfect but I still had all the other symptoms and the stomach pain just would not go away. Five years of this until 3 days ago and a visit back to the same Doc seeking anything to help my stomach pain. He put me through some specific breathing and manipualtion of my abdominal muscles along with Cranial Sacral for about an hour. Pain gone. He then told me I was doing everything wrong. After his recommendation, and studing the information, I immediately went on a beef only carnivore diet. Day 3 and I just got back from the gym. Feel great. No stomach pain. No bloating. A touch of belching when i eat but it's just day 3!!! Brain fog is definitely impoving - not 100% sharp yet. Sorry to be so long winded. There is so much more. You can reach out to me at joe.mullins1@gmail if you want to know more. If you google Carnvore diet and watch the videos from some of the top MD's and then read the thousands of comments I think you will be shocked. Good luck to you.

Short of all the issues of leaky gut I’ve had for so long I’ve also experiencing serious systemic inflammation through my entire body joint & muscular, severe scalp blistering that never recovers, constant headaches, severe sinus issues, bad broken sleep & haemorrhoids (banding surgery twice over 9yrs without solving and now I’m waiting for surgery). I just have one question if you could help me I would be really grateful. Could my haemorrhoids be a manifesting result from not being aware that my diet and leaky gut issues for a decade at least? In Australia leaky gut is not recognised so I don’t think I’ve ever been given the advice I needed by our Dr’s that could have helped me make the changes I desperately needed years ago.

This information is life really life changing. Thank you Dr, I subbed for life.

@homebuddha about 6 months ago, I started getting hemorrhoids for the first time in my life. I have all the other symptoms you mentioned, but instead of blisters on my scalp, I get patches of skin growths that peel off. Either way, I decided to do something drastic and took on eating carnivore. It's helped me with all the GI problems. I'm still fatigued, and the fibromyalgia while getting better is not gone. Hopefully, over time, while also decreasing stress, I'll heal. I hope this information helps. God bless. Oh, I take 250-600 mgs of magnesium citrate at night. This keeps constipation away. It acts as a muscle relaxant. For constipation, you may also take high doses of vitamin C (it's safe for most people to take up to 8000 mg a day). But sometimes this causes cramping of the gut, so for me, it's a last resort. Also, 1 tablespoon of plain psyllium seed husk in the morning, vita d and mk7 (or k2), but twice a week, and daily zink, benfotiamine, b complex. I drink lots of purified water, and just started drinking kefir to help rebuild my gut biome, which so far I'm tolerating well. You'll learn what works for you. P.s. read labels. The magnesium citrate brand I usually get just started to put rapeseed oil in the blend, which is a seed oil. It is not good to ingest any seed oil. So I switched brands. Good thing I read labels. The only oil worth eating is extra virgin olive oil first press.

I tried L-glutamine and everything else in this video before going to such extreme measures, but none worked. Of course I also hated eating only meat, eggs, and seafood.....I eventually found a medium where my stomach isn't great, but it's easily tolerable by just keeping carbs and fiber to a minimum. Hi I'm just a random person but I have some thoughts on your last question; I have found many say that the effects of probiotics are temporary for them, and I'm starting to wonder if it's because there's something specific causing inflammation in the body that is hurting their microbiome balance and therefore hurting the microbiome constantly causing the probiotics to not thrive. It can be anything from hormonal dysfunction, to heavy metal toxicity, to high stress, poor sleep etc. I've found all these to be the case for me, especially sleep & hormones. When I prioritize these, my microbiome seems to do SO MUCH better. I can tell because I'm healing from h pylori which causes stabbing pains; I don't feel the stabbing pains whenever my sleep and hormones are doing better ! Just figured I'd share this info in case it could help anyone. Took me long enough to put my own health puzzle pieces together. Took me fcking years man 😂

I AM NOW A STRICT VEGETARIAN SINCE THE 90'S AND MY HEALTH IS BETTER THAN WHEN I WAS IN MY 30'S & 40'S. AT 72YRS OLD WITH NO DISEASES AT ALL. 🌺✌🏾💚🌺

Hi thanks so much for this. My 13 year old son has suffered his whole life with silent reflux since a baby. It got so bad that it started giving him a chronic cough and repeated lung infections that wouldn’t clear with antibiotics. None of the gastroenterologists or doctors have heard of leaky gut when I mentioned it. I’ve tried cutting out all sorts but eventually had to reintroduce the foods for his health. I tried gluten free too, but it didn’t work. It’s so hard to get him to restrict food as he already has a very restrictive diet due to a fear of food after the trauma that foods caused him as a child. What do you suggest? It’s so unusual for a child his age to have reflux and I don’t want this to get worse. Thanks so much in advance 🙌👍

Hey doc! Whats your take on using saccharomyces boullardi while having SIFO and candida overgrowth? I hear of a risk of fungal infection when the fungal overgrowth is already present. I also have SIBO, leaky gut, fibromyalgia and POTS/Dysautonomia. Your videos caught my attention with their relevance to SIFO and leaky gut and the use of the elemental diet. So thank you!!

Good question. So I believe it's a common misconception that s boulardii exacerbates overgrowths. I have a couple of pieces of content about SIBO in particular (kzbin.info/www/bejne/opaXdqp4jqqEY8k and drruscio.com/s-boulardii-good-for-SIBO/), if you want to check those out. I'll also link and article of mine about candida (drruscio.com/strongest-candida-killer/). But I'm going to make note of the question of s boulardii for SIFO and candida for future content. :)

You should ask questions about GI problems to a gastroenterologist. He is a chiropractor. A GI doctor spends 3 years solely learning the gut in residency. This guy just looks stuff up on his spare time. They don't teach about it in depth in chiropractoric school... they learn about the spine.

@@dovidschoenberg7850 Sounds logical but it just does not work that way. My Gastro know absolutely nothing about diet and all the different factors that create a leaky gut. I went to him with extreme abdominal distress along with reflux. After an endoscopy he gave me a PPI for the reflux and my Barrett's esophagus. When I asked about the cause of my bloating and constant stomach pain he replied "how should I know - maybe your not getting along with your wife". When I left the office the receptionist said no further appointments were needed. He had nothing else to pursue as the endoscopy showed nothing wrong with my stomach lining. Only 1 in 50 Gastros will be able to treat you in a holistic manner for gut problems.

Leaky gut is actually true. Most people don’t know about it. Leaky gut, also known as increased intestinal permeability, is a condition where the lining of the digestive tract becomes more porous, potentially allowing undigested food particles and toxins to enter the bloodstream. This can lead to a range of health issues. It's important to maintain a healthy gut with a balanced diet, probiotics, and consult a healthcare professional if you have concerns about this condition.
